“Still as good as ever”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

We have been eating at Malaga for years and love the food. Yes some of the charm is missing from the front room, it is more like all the other restaurants in the area crowed and a little bit noisy but it seems to have increased business. I would rather see the restaurant thrive than not be there at all. We have moved to the back room which is still very pleasant. But we go there for the great food at great prices. The other night we had one of our favorites Mussels Malaga (in a spicy tomato sauce) and shrimp in green sauce. As good as ever. We have never had a bad meal there. May they be there for ever.

“TV screens completely ruined the experience”
Reviewed April 16, 2012

I agree with MGMP. We used to come here all the time but since they renovated, they have added large tacky TV screens in all directions. You can't sit anywhere in the front section without seeing a big TV screen. The renovation is nice except for the TV screens. And the worst part was the fact that we had asked the manager/owner to turn the TV's off so we could enjoy the live guitar player & she refused, saying that people were watching it. There was not one single person in the restaurant watching the TV's the entire time we were there and we thought her attitude was really dismissive. But worse, to have the TV's playing while there is live music, is not only distracting but very disrespectful to the musician. It's too bad, because it would be a nice place otherwise.

“So sorry”
Reviewed March 28, 2012 via mobile

We used to come here about once a fortnight. Tapas were good, service efficient and friendly. However it started to deteriorate. They renovated and stuck large screen TVs everywhere - who are they for? We tried a few more times out of loyalty but our last meal there was bad and frankly we had the feeling they could't care less. We decided that was the end for us.

“NEVER EAT IN THIS RESTAURANT”
Reviewed February 4, 2012

DO NOT EAT HERE. Had the worst food and the worst meal experience of my life. First we were served bad sardines. the minute they got to our table, they smelled. took one bite and sent it back. Then we ordered seafood paella and again, lobster was old and smelled of fish. We sent this back as well and asked to speak with the manager. for 45 minutes this woman Hannah comes over and starts screaming that we're trying to get a free meal.

“Malaga is one of my favorite neighborhood spots”
Reviewed January 9, 2012

I like the atmosphere at this place. The food is not spectacular but is decent. Malaga is a good place to sit at the bar and have a tapas or two.. or three The sangria is good as well.

I just wish this place had the glass container on the bar containing the tapas like they have in Spain. Worth a stop by if you are in the neighborhood.
