Description: CAFÉ BOULUD features a French-American menu inspired by Chef Daniel Boulud's four culinary muses: la tradition, classic French cuisine; la saison, seasonal delicacies; le potager, the vegetable garden; and le voyage, the flavors of world cuisines. In addition to dinner seven nights, we feature a $37 two-course prix-fixe lunch six days a week, and brunch on Sundays. The restaurant is both a neighborhood gem and a destination for food lovers in search of casually elegant dining. Two private dining rooms seating 18 guest each are available for your private entertaining needs, and may be combined to accommodate 40. The restaurant's adjacent BAR PLEIADES serves inventive cocktails and a luxurious bar menu from 3 pm onwards. DANIEL • DB Bistro Moderne •Boulud Sud• Bar Boulud • DBGB Kitchen & Bar

The food, though very very small portions, was sublime and the service was perfect. This was a birthday dinner for my mother who is quite senior and they doted on her with just the right care. Wonderful night, great food and high prices.

We went there on our first night in NYC. Very sophisticated clientele and we felt we had really scored in getting a reservation. We all ordered totally different things and shared tidbits. We drank champagne of course. Every meal was impeccably prepared and served.

Thieir duck is cooked to perfection,; and chef Gaysen brings carrots to a new level: caramelized and sautéed with a hint of curry, he accomplished a miracle: made me love eating one if my most hated vegetables! Mom now I love carrots

One of the best places we have ever eaten. The mushroom risotto was to die for. Service was spotless.

We have been going to Cafe Boulud in NYC and Palm Beach for years. It has obviously been good, or we wouldn't have returned. The last two visits to Boulud in NYC at Sunday Brunch stimulate this review. The menu and food have seriously deteriorated. Last week I got a Croque Monsieur and a better grilled cheese sandwich can be obtained at Nectar at Madison and 79th street. Today I requested a made-to-order omelet because I didn't like the one on the menu. The chef refused and i got stuck with smoked salmon which was decidedly inferior. The service is indifferent and I will not be coming back until Daniel Boulud has had a chance to clean this mess up.
