“Good solid neighborhood restaurant”

Went here on sun nite for a family dinner. This is a solid place with good Brazilian food. Very authentic and nice selection. Good service and nice atmosphere. Service was attentive and friendly.

“Overpriced and not family friendly”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2013

Sorry, I cannot join the praise of the other reviewers, nor is the price range accurate. Our four main courses (no appetizers), three children’s juices and a pitcher of sangria cost $175. The place is not family friendly and there are substantial hidden costs (18% automatic service charge for parties of 5 or more, even if the 5th is your infant daughter who is just sitting there, waiting for the others to eat). Drinks consist sunstantially of ice cubes; food has great flavor, but is cooked indifferently (my sausages were burned); service is not great. Overpriced even by New York standards. My recommendation is to stay away.

“Good Brazilian”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2013 via mobile

Small family run place with good (not great) Brazilian food. Cocktails tasty but small. Prices fair. Worth visiting.

“Loved it”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2013

I agree with another reviewer that this is a hidden gem. It is easy to walk by and not notice. The food was very good and the service excellent. Our table had the black bean soup, beet salad, shrimp rolls with mango sauce, and the fresh artichoke heart salad. All were very tasty starters. For the entries we had the grilled veggie dish, the sirloin steak special of the day, and a shrimp stew of sorts. Also had a side of Yucca fries. Again, all were very tasty. Desserts included the Brazilian flan, sorbet, and Brazilian chocolate cake with ice cream. All yummy. Through out the meal the service couldn't have been better- they were very attentive. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. I look forward to going back.

“Hidden gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 12, 2012

Just around the corner tucked away from 2nd Ave subway construction mess. Their Brazilian-style dinners are out of this world. We'll be back.
