Description: Aureole, New York is the flagship showcase for Charlie Palmer's unabashed, energetic signature Progressive American cuisine. Now under the culinary leadership of Executive Chef Gabriele Carpentieri, the kitchen turns out elegant, simple dishes with sharply focused flavors like Wagyu Beef Carpaccio with crispy shiitake, scallions, taro root, ponzu and lavash cracker. Aureole is located within the spectacular Bank of America Tower at One Bryant Park, the most environmentally advanced skyscraper in the world. Offering a range of dining options, the Liberty Room is smart and casual with walnut-topped tables and a back-lit, etched glass front bar with polished natural zinc top surface, the intimate Dining Room is designed in both lighting and texture to give off a golden glow, and The Halo Private Dining Room is wrapped with fabric panel and silver leaf walls, dotted with sculptural back-lit flame sconces. Now in its 29th year, Aureole is contemporary urban elegance.

“Superb pre-Broadway dining in Times Square”
Reviewed July 2, 2014

We wanted to dine between our Times Square hotel and our Broadway show, and went on Open Table to see what was available.

This newer restaurant is hoping to get the Broadway crowd, and in fact, ask if you have a theatre time scheduled which they accommodate. However we did not feel rushed in the least.

True 5 star service and cuisine. We had the $89 pre-fixe 3 course dinner, which started with unbelievable bread! Then a complimentary mini-mini-teaser appetizer before the first course.

Service was attentive, somewhat aloof, but not unfriendly. They didn't hover. Presentation timing of entrees perfect.

The 3 of us had only positive things to say of our entrees. We did not get the upcharged entrees ($10 more for lobster, etc.)

Complimentary palate cleanser after second course. To-die-for desserts!

I'm sure some would thing the portions on the small side, but that is just American dining overload. We were pleasantly full, but not stuffed, allowing us to enjoy the desserts.

Leisurely coffee with plenty of time for our Broadway showtime.

Highly recommended!

“Snooty waitress”
Reviewed June 27, 2014 via mobile

For the most part the food was very good but the meal was less than stellar because the female waitress was very snooty and seemed to think she was too good to serve us. I'm not sure why given that my husband and I racked up a nice size bill but she was very condescending and rude. As good as the food was, I wouldn't go back due to the service, at least not on a Friday night.

“Great food, excellent service, a bit pricey....even by NYC standards”
Reviewed June 27, 2014

The title says it all. Definitely recommend. Just be prepared to spend. Seldom have had better service. Ask for reservations in dining room if you wish a bit quieter, more elegant atmosphere.

“One of the better Times Square option”
Reviewed June 26, 2014

Times Square options are good but this one is especially nice. The food (Scallops were some of the best I've ever had) was good and service outstanding. We did not have reservations but went on Sunday night so I suspect you will need them on most any other evening. Will definitely visit again.

“Great food and service”
Reviewed June 23, 2014 via mobile

Went there for a good dinner and a nice time out. Showed up without a reservation but that was no problem. Food was excellent and the service was great even though the place was packed. Not too expensive. Would go there again.
