“Been coming here since it opened”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

Absolutely love the vibe in this place, especially in the warmer weather when they have the windows open. It can be hard to get a seat, but the drinks are excellent and the food is consistently good. Fab place to sit on a summer weekday during the day if you have the time to sit and write your thoughts.

“Perfect West Side dinner stroll for dessert & coffee”
Reviewed September 1, 2013

Lovely cakes and pastries, almost too many to choose from! Sitting outside on a balmy summer night can be an experience on it's own-you get to see the restaurant from the outside, the hung lights strung all around you. You can even buy a tote bag to bring home that will remind you to go again next time you're in NYC.

“no meat....nice bakery selection.....pricey”
Reviewed August 15, 2013

yes, it has good reviews and yes, it was in You've Got Mail....that's what made me scope it out on my last trip to NYC.....but the place doesn't serve any meat-save a few dishes that have fish in them on the menu. It's very breakfast/pastry oriented. Be prepared, a slice of pie or cake is $8...and they are small. A specialty drink is upwards for $10-$12. The selection is amazing but pricey for a quick treat. And when i asked about the filling in the one cake, the girl working the counter told me it was filled with blueberries-it was resberries and blackberries....i mean, if i'm spending $8 for a few bites of cake, i want to be sure what i'm buying....

“You've got mail”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

I came here after dinner for dessert and coffee. I actually sat in the same chair at the same table that Meg Ryan sat in for the movie "You've got Mail" which was filmed in the Upper West Side. I would describe this place as "Euro-Romantic" except for the lighting. I think the lighting is too bright and that it could be less bright with more indirect lighting for a softer atmosphere. The light is too harsh and bright. Other than that, I loved my Tiramisu with coffee served with a mini Toblerone on my saucer. Great place for couples on a date night.
