...and hasn't changed a bit. Recession special: $5.95 two hot dogs and a papaya, coconut, or pina colada drink. What a deal. Ate there twice (one lunch, one dinner) during our recent visit, the place has not changed in 40 years...really good hot dogs and the drinks are great too. Good for a light meal, location is great, so convenient to Central Park, Upper West Side, we just walked up from Columbus Circle. A New York must-visit, you'll love it!

For the so called "best hot dog in NYC" it is a good hot dog, this time with a not so fresh bun, and the sausage was overcooked (for my taste and custom), like the mexican dogos. So, if you are chilean or peruvian, and expect for this to succeed the national versions of your homeland, forget it. It is a plane simple hotdog, not tasty, not awesome, nor great. But not bad at all either.
Para los chilenos, es casi comerse un hot dog del punto. En serio.

Good old fashioned New York hot dogs. Fast, great and tasty. Nowhere to sit and eat but some great benches outside the metro across the street.

We went there for dinner, after a couple of friends recommended us the place.
It´s cheap, and the hotdogs are OK, but I wouldn´t cross half Manhattan again to eat there. I would only go again if I´m around...
