Pasha is a charming, beautifully decorated Turkish restaurant that feels like it could have been in Istanbul, I am told by dinner companions who have been there. A short walk from Lincoln Center, quiet and not crowded at 5:30 on a Sunday evening, four of us enjoyed the extremely reasonably-priced Pre-Fixe dinner at $27.95. Assorted appetizers with Pasha's marvelous homemade pita bread was an excellent meal starter. A friend raved about the lentil soup and we all praised our chicken and lamb entree choices. Service was quite attentive with several servers all eager to please and determined to guarantee our dining pleasure. This is a real winner and recommended heartily to lovers of Turkish cuisine. Being seated in the small, intimate, and very red front room is a plus if available. Suggest requesting this location if making reservations in advance.

Pasha Restaurant is a wonderful find with an unusual and affordable brunch menu. My husband and I recently honeymooned in Turkey and were thrilled to find authentic Turkish cuisine this side of the Atlantic. My husband was delighted with his lamb dish, repeatedly exclaiming on the way home that it was the best he had ever had on any continent. I stuck with the more traditional brunch fair of French Toast, although the dish had been transformed into a Turkish delicacy with walnuts and strawberries. Pasha was a perfect selection for a slow brunch. We sat around for a full two hours sipping tea without any pressure to free up the table. Pasha is definitely now on our favorites list for New York City.

We stayed at the nearby Hotel Beacon and had brunch/lunch here on a Saturday. The service was perfect, attentive without being overwhelming, but the restaurant was not that busy. Every dish was delicious. The French toast was unlike any we've ever had. Some of us had real entrees, not breakfast choices, and they were equally interesting and tasty. The two appetizers we shared....mucver (dill and zucchini pancakes) and patlican salatasi (grilled, mashed eggplant)....were unusual and so good! For dessert, we had blood orange and seasonal berry sorbets. They tasted like fruit and not sugary ice.
We are looking forward to trying dinner there. The setting is very pretty and authentic. Tranquil, at least mid-day. The prices more than fair. We probably should have ordered the prix fixe lunch in the end, but at the time, we didn't think we'd eat that much. We did and enjoyed every morsel!

They have a fairly large menu but the best part are the appetizers. We all loved the cheese with filo dough (called Sigara Boregi), the shepards salad, and cacik. Some of us had octopus which was a hit as well. For dinner recommend the chicken and lamb entrees. Service was not perfect but restaurant was full and busy. If you are in a rush to get to show, you had better tell them.

We arrived around 6:30pm and the restaurant was very full. The pace of our dinner was a bit rushed, I had a feeling they were trying to turn tables. The staff was friendly and we were greeted and led to our table. We chose to order off the menu and not chose the pre-fixe for $28. We started with Manti (a dumpling in yogurt sauce) and hummus - both really good. We had to wait a while to enjoy our hummus due to lack of bread. We had to ask 2X for bread. When it arrived it was warm and delicious. For our main course we had the chicken kebab and lamb dish. The lamb was cut in slices and served with cubed breadi in a yogurt tomato sauce. There wasn't much lamb in the dish for the money I paid, but once again it was very tasty. We had turkish wine and shared the chocolate cake.

In a nut shell, excellent food, but could work on value and service. Overall I would go back.
