A delightful restaurant with a small but tasteful menu for lunch after a museum visit.

I had the worst caprese ever here- the mozzarella was old and rubbery- no excuse for this in NYC where delicious fresh mozzarella can be found every block.
The dishes are expensive and overall not worth it.
Try Vico up the street instead, it is even more expensive but worth it!

I enjoyed a business lunch at Centolire. I had the chicken cibatta with vegetables as a side item. It was very good. The vegetables had a great sauce on them, it had an apple flavor that was divine. If you find yourselve in the neighborhood this is a good place for a reasonably priced meal.
The service was very good and attentive.

On our way from Guggenheim museum back to downtown Manhatten we came across this place. The had two different menues for lunch.
The had a set menu of three courses. If you choose this menu you were seated upstairs. If you choose the "small" menu you were to sit on the ground floor level.
The staff was friendly and efficient. The food was presented nice and tastefull. We would like to go back.

Upon entering the upstairs dining room I knew that I was in for an experience. In the center of the room was a serving table that had rounds of cheese, prociotto and melons amd the bread and olive oil. The dining room wasn't over crowded which kept the noise level low. The wine list provided something for everyone, we chose a nice Amaron. The menu was simple but authentic Italian. The pasta dishes were amazing and the osso buca to die for. Pino came to our table and itroduced himeself which added a nice touch. Can't wait to go back!
