NYC has millions of choices when it comes to a meal. On my November 18, 2008 trip to McDougal St. in the Village, we were very pleased with our lunch choice at Focacceria. The restaurant had just opened and we found a coupon at lunchtimedeals.com for a three course lunch for $8.95 between the hours of 12:00-4:00PM. We started with a big bowl of pasta faggoli soup (you could have had a salad instead or another type of soup), then a choice of three pastas, (mine was a fettucine with chicken, roasted peppers, garlic and a creamy vodka type sauce) and then either tira masu or Italian cheese cake for dessert. Everything was fabulous and the desserts would have sold for $7 in midtown. Big servings. The coffee wasn't included and a cup of decalf was $2.50. They also offer a dinner special but we didn't try it. Kudos to the chef. We'll be back.
