This was our first visit and we had a very good experience. Our meals (Salade Lyonnaise with a perfect poached egg, Chicken Liver Mousse, Lobster Bisque, and Salad Nicoise with Seared Tuna), were a good value for the money spent. The staff was attentive and helpful without being your new best friend. We would definitely go back again.

We went for dinner on a Sunday night. Immediately upon walking in you are in a Paris bistro. The service is excellent, the waiter was knowledgeable but unobtrusive. We started with the Sea food platter and then had the duck confit, the pan seared chicken and the steak au poivre. Everyone loved their food, it was the first restaurant, that I could honestly say everything was excellent and that I would definitely come back. Formidable!!!!

Great place. I stopped in on a very busy lunchtime and was happily accommodated for a quick bite to eat sitting at the bar, which turned out to be one of the best experiences I've had in NYC. Even although the restaurant was full, service was quick and friendly. Highlight of the food I had was the best steak frites I've ever tasted, absolutely superb. Highly recommended.

We've been dining here for years and always expect three French stereotypes: wonderful ambience, excellent food, and inconsistent service. On our last visit, for brunch over President's Day weekend, it was the usual - my husband's eggs were under-cooked, he sent them back, they eventually returned and still weren't cooked correctly. But this time we were rescued by the wonderful Andrew Brennan - who noticed our egg trouble, swooped in and almost magically made everything right. We just hope Keith McNally of Balthazar knows what a terrific manager he has!!! Andrew saved brunch.
