The Korean dishes here have been consistently good for lunch. We have dined over a dozen times for lunch and never been disappointed. Have only dined twice here for dinner, one was up to par, the other was not. The second dinner dine had somewhat old sushi.
Overall I would rate this place as very good for lunch and acceptable for dinner.

A very down to earth place, and its cute! Not pretentious but pretty small: cozy is the right word for it. They have great cheap sushi! Authentic sushi at that. I ordered the dragon roll and it was great. Sometimes when you order sushi its all California roll variations, but this was pretty legit. Great place for college kids looking for a casual place to eat dinner.

But its not mindblowing, just a nice chill place.

I live in NY and this is one of my favorite restaurants. Since it's up one flight of stairs and, therefore, off street level, this restaurant provides a surprisingly quiet setting right in the middle of the always-bustling West Village. Both the Korean and Japanese dishes are delicious, and their sushi is top notch. A decent saki list also hits the spot.

After a long days worth of shopping, four of us were relieved to finally sit down for dinner. When we saw that they had Sangria listed, we were pleasantly surprised and totally looking forward to a pitcher or two...only to find out, nope, no Sangria today. Huge disappointment. Then we put in an order of a 21oz Sapporo also listed on their menu only for the waitress to return with a similar response - sorry, no 21oz. Sheesh! Ok, so we make do, but we're pretty bummed at his point. Two of the four of us loves UNI, so we ask - do you have Uni today? The answer is yes. WHEW! We're finally getting somewhere - so we put all our orders in. A few minutes later, the waitress returns - sorry, no uni today. *UGH!!!* OK, FINE! Forget the dang uni. Our orders arrive. Right off the bat, the tofu stew was noticeably SMALL and I mean, SMALLLLL. Then the realization, "hey, didn't I order with beef? or did the menu say beef broth?". A check of the menu to confirm that you have a choice of beef, chicken or whatever. Much to my husband's chagrin, we politely call over a waiter, who apologized and took it back to the kitchen. It comes back out with five measley pieces. What is going on here!? This place was absolutely horrible. The fact that the waitstaff also stared and watched as you ate was also very unnerving. Will never return and will advise others to stay away.
