This is the second time I have been to Tribeca Grill. We returned because of the wonderful experience we had the last time. It seemed like we walked into a totally different restaurant. Our appetizer came very fast and was very good (mushroom dumplings) The entree took over 20 minutes to arrive. My daughter and I had the Bass. I believe the reason for the delay was that it was left on the service table. Both of our fish were well done. The fish was dry and the cauliflower was cold. My daughters fish had a very large blood line in it, that should have been removed. My wife had the scallops that were overly salty and a bit over done. Not once during our meal did someone come to our table to inquire about our food.I would have complained. On the positive side, our water glasses were always full, and the waiter did bring a plate of very good cookies with a birthday candle for my wife. I hope that this was just a bad night for the kitchen staff, but when you are expecting excellence anything else is a disappointment.

“Good but pricey”
Reviewed April 15, 2013 via mobile

This place has definitely got the old New York vibe with its cool location, rich interior, ginormous wine list, and meat-centered menu. Everything we had was better than good. The beet salad was excellent, if smal; the salmon was perfectly cooked, but a little small. The crab cake was delicious, and actually kind of big.

The least expensive wine on the list was about $45/bottle. We got the Las Tablas, at $50, and it was great.

All in: TriBeCa Grill was fine, but at $300 for the four of us, a little pricey.

“Very good family dinner”
Reviewed April 14, 2013 via mobile

Excellent meal with our two kids on a busy Saturday. Kids menu's were offered up and had the basics that were appreciated. New York strip was very good, beet salad is recommended., Onion soup was 'ok'. Atmosphere is comfortable, with a loud, but fun vibe. If you are having wine, go with one of Dave's picks - some fun choices very well priced. The full wine is very extensive.

“Small portions”

Very expensive trendy place. Presentation is great though. Not a good value. Suggest you have a few slices of Pizza before you go.
