My husband and I met up for lunch at Gotham Bar & Grill.

For over a decade, we have dined at the restaurant on numerous occasions and are still wowed by the service, food and elegant ambiance.

We ordered from the prix fixe menu which consisted of an appetizer, entree and dessert. Everything and every single bite was an explosion of wonderful flavors which makes dining here a true culinary experience. Service, as always, is top notch.

Whenever friends ask us what our favorite restaurant in NYC is, Gotham Bar & Grill is our reply in a heartbeat.

We have been travelling from London to New York for years and our one must go to place is Gotham Bar and Grill. It is a superb dining experience - from sitting at the bar sipping a cocktail or having dinner at the bar (try for the end spot as you will have a huge amount of room) or sitting in the elegant dining space. The food is excellent - the sashimi "tower" is a must and very hard to distinguish between the beef and the rack of lamb. Glasses of wine are readily available by the glass and the wine list extensive. For an establishment of this calibre the service is very friendly - our waiter Robert made our night yesterday - very professional but on the right side of being chatty. Would go there again to be served by him! I am loathe to write more as I want to be able to go there next time we are in NY

I recently went with my wife and good clients of mine and we did have an enjoyable dinner, He picked this restaurant as we were visiting and I told him to pick where he would like to go. He frequents the restaurant so choose it for our dinner. It is a little to over the top for us -expensive and focus on food presentation, but it is good and the service is excellent. It has consistently been rated high for a reason, and they come through on their strengths that they have done for a long time. I can see this going to this restaurant if you want to impress or to celebrate a very special occasion but on a regular basis.

Have been going to this high end restaurant for a decade or more. Consistently excellent food and service. Asked for a table in the back when making reservations.several times. No problem. Even though kind of up scale, the staff is always friendly. The food, oh the food. Fantastic. Tables are spaced nicely.

We had a little trouble with our table as we wanted to sit more 'inside' the restaurant rather than close to the door but after that was sorted out we all had a memorable meal with the tarte tatin being one of the best
