My wife and I dined here in late June for my birthday. Meal was excellent, service was prompt but not too rushed. Bartender mixed up some excellent dirty martinis. I had soft shell crabs as an appetizer and the rack of lamb for a main. Both were perfect. My wife had very fresh halibut. A perfect meal and we will definitely return soon

Went there Saturday for a wedding meal. Staff looked after us all great and the food was excellent. If you go do not leave without having a go at the risotto as the starter. Steaks also very good.

What kind of restaurant is Gotham? The kind that welcomed a spontaneous visit by my sister and I even though we really were dressed way too casually (shorts). The maitre d' graciously thanked us for choosing them out of all the restaurants in the area and that began a perfect meal, professionally served and presented. We had Asparagus Soup, Red Shrimp Ceviche, a superb Seafood Salad, Crispy Soft Shell Crabs and their signature dish, Miso Black Cod. We shared a Passion Fruit Souffle that is not to be missed! We had eaten here too long ago and it was a joy to experience the same excellence! Jacques and Robert, our server, both made sure that we were enjoying our time there. The ambiance is relaxing and the noise level disappears into the high ceiling. I did not notice if there was music or not which is a good thing! This is truly an excellent restaurant in every way and it is so Manhattan!

I went with three friends and we ate together three different fixed price meals.
My favourite was the asparagus soup and the parafait. The steak was also very nice.
The thing I liked less was that the main dishes looked the same and had the same sause, puree and veggies.
Salad was really tasty yet simple, the seviche was interesting yet a little too interesting, the chickes and bass were ok.
The signature cake was very good yet didn't blow me away as expected.
Combining price & taste I didnt know weather to give 3 or 4 but the wonderful waiter easily pushed it to 4. I dont give 5 easily I'm afraid.

A word for the owner - the perfect waiter was the bearded guy who reminds a little richard dryfuss (yet a lot more handsome.. Maybe travis singer would be a better description)
