We dined at Mas on Christmas night. We reserved two for the bar, (we prefer the intimacy of the bar for dining out). Our first impression was this bar would be less than ideal, very small area and right in front of the door on a very chilly night - (why don't they fix that with a heater or heavy cloth curtain?? AND why don't they tell you that on the phone when making the reservation?), but with the exception of a few chilly drafts it worked out fine. Both the GM, (Yes! the general manager - I asked who he was), and hostess at the front of the house were very off putting, with downright rude attitudes. Being a few feet away, we witnesses them interacting with other parties throughout the night and thought they should both be fired, every other person gave terrific, gracious service with expertise. The stand-out for the evening was the bartender, Francis, her skill and knowledge were amazing and entertaining.
The food was delicious although not over the top on any level - prefix holiday menu - I'll cut them some slack. Desserts were outstanding, better than the meal on this night.
Also, in the hopes that someone monitors these reviews for the restaurant, the bathroom cleanliness is lacking in a huge way.
