Excellent sushi. Worth waiting in line but would get in easier if you visit earlier during weekdays. The prices are very reasonable for the quality

Terrific sushi. Excellent sushi in a comfortable setting. Wait can get quite long but it is worth it. Extremely fresh fish. Love the food.

There's a reason for the long line that forms every night outside Tomoe Sushi (get there by 6:00 and you should be seated quickly). You don't even need to chew the thick slices of insanely fresh fish. They just melt in your mouth. The atmosphere and friendliness of the servers rates about a 3, but with a plate of fatty tuna, yellowtail and salmon in front of you, you'll think you're in heaven!

The hour wait outside this ~35 seat Greenwich Village sushi spot on a recent Saturday night was well worth it! The quality of the fish was excellent and we found prices to be as good a value as you'll find in NYC. One appetizer deserves specific mentioning - Kaki Foil Yaki - grilled oysters with enoki mushrooms is possibly one of the best dishes under $10 on the planet. The atmosphere is OK - the dining area is small and seating is close together but this shouldn't deter anyone from visiting. Service was efficient and pleasant. Dinner for 3 incl appetizers, soft drinks, tax/tip was $120. Definitely worth a return visit!!!

This is a hole in the wall at 172 Thompson Street Manhattan. The inside is dirty and small and customers have to stand in line outside to be seated at the few tables available inside this stink hole. It should really be a take out only. In all honesty, the food is not much better than an average sushi place in Brooklyn or anywhere else. Please don't waste your time and money by going to this poop joint.
