“Wonderful Evening at Aquagrill”
Reviewed May 23, 2013 via mobile

Dinner with friends was very nice. We had the option of sitting inside or out on the sidewalk but chose inside. Our server was very good and the seafood was fantastic. We enjoyed tuna tartare, an oyster sampler and very good chilean seabass, scallops and tuna!

Highly recommended!

“Good food but noise level very LOUD”
Reviewed May 17, 2013

We went on a Thursday night and the place was packed from the start (6pm). This is a popular watering hole so be prepared to wait unless you have reservations. The noise level was waaay too loud for my comfort, but I guess that's what Soho is all about - loud people and lots of alcohol. We had three in our party and all ordered seafood - the swordfish was a bit dry, the cod was light and juicy, and the scallops were melt-in-your-mouth delightful. Crabcake appetizers were scrumptious, all crab meat and no fillers. Mango tart dessert was unbelievably flavorful, sweat and tart with flaky pastry dough on the bottom. Delicious. I would have given this restaurant more stars if I could have carried on a conversation with my dinner mates without yelling/screaming.

“A must for cocktails and oysters”
Reviewed May 16, 2013 via mobile

Sitting at the art deco bar in Soho's Aqua Grill you can't help but soak up the bustling atmosphere. It boasts a sublime range of oysters, from Scotland to the East Coast. The staff are well informed and watching them make their unique cocktails is mesmerising. (I'm worried no cocktail will ever beat their jalapeño and pomegranate one.) Its easy to get carried away, so watch your ordering. It soon racks up!

The seafood restaurant is fancy with excellent food. We booked a table, it was full that night. Ate three courses with wine, all very delicious!

“Move over Bernardin”
Reviewed May 6, 2013 via mobile

The food here is extraordinary. What distinguishes the entrees are the perfectly paired and prepared accompaniments. For example, weak fish (a local white fish fillet) with Parmesan gnocchi, fava beans and many other commentary tastes. The room is small and crowded--but this is New York and the price is half that of Bernardin for nearly as tasty and creative fish preparations!
