Visitor and native New Yorker alike will enjoy Robin London's 2-l/2 hour walking tour of Little Italy, Chinatown and Five Points, revksiting The Big Apple's colorful gangster past.
Robin is a vast storehouse of the history of the origin of the gangsters of New York--from Joseph Masssaria, Meyer Lansky, Lucky Luciano, Arnold Rothstein, Albert Anastasia, Joseph Colombo, Joe Gallo, Paul Costellano, Carlo Gambino and John Gotti, among others. She relates dozens of colorful anecdotes and bits of trivia about the lives--and deaths--of the mob bosses whose names you know from "Mean Streets," "Goodfellas," "The Godfather," "Donnie Brasco," "Boardwalk Empire," and other movies and TV shows you're familiar with. Make sure you wear your walking shoes...and be prepared for a three hour experience--even though the tour is billed as a 2-l/2 hour one. Robin is more interested in sharing her knowledge and answering questions than in making sure she restricts her time! A highly recommended, fun experience in NYC>

i took three Manhattan tours with Metro NYC Tours with a group of seven women friends. Each tour was a three hour walking tour and covered the financial district, mid-town or Chelsea/meat packing areas. These tours with Robin London were very enjoyable. She is very knowledgeable about the history of the areas, comes prepared with historical pictures, and is very entertaining with stories and points of interest. She has a great sense of humor. This tour company is highly recommended.

Robin was a terrific tour guide. She made the tour was interesting for everyone. She answered any questions we had. We thoroughly enjoyed it. I wish I could hire Robin for our entire trip to take us all around NYC! She is full of great information.

I had the best time on a walking tour of Greenwich Village with Robin from Metro NYC Tours. I live in NYC but never went on a walking tour. I went with a friend and we learned so much. Robin's enthusiasm and humor made this 2.5 hour tour go by quickly that we didn't want it to end. I come to this neighborhood often to eat (great restaurants) but never new the history of the area. Did you know Cappuccino was introduced to the USA on McDougal St.? I learned so many fascinating trivia and history facts from Robin's stories. Can't wait to go on another, I probably would do the Gangster one next. Thanks Robin for a great time!!!
