“Awesome revival”
Reviewed October 24, 2013

There was nothing to dislike. It's a truly successful revival of an already great show! All principal actors were superb, and the ensemble cast was multi-talented. This version of Pippin is a bit grittier than the original (delightfully so), and also a bit sexier, if that's possible. You can't just be a great dancer to be in this show! You also have to have Cirque de Soleil cred. Tovah Feldshuh has taken over the role of Berthe, and what a delight she is! But as I already said, every member of this cast is outstanding. Don't miss it!!

“Wonderful”
Reviewed October 23, 2013 via mobile

I've seen this show twice and it is magical. The songs, set, acrobatics and action make it a wonderful event. This musical is over 40 years old (Ben Vereen was the original leading player) and its current version is spectacular. You can certainly understand why this won several Tonys!

I thoroughly enjoyed this musical. The actors had astounding skills and the musical was choreographed to perfection. This was a spectacle I won't soon forgot.

“Don't Miss this Fabulous Revival”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

The music is still fantastic and the story line still relevant... the talent of the performers: their voices, acrobatics, dancing, acting was completely AMAZING. I have found myself still thinking about it days later. If you like musicals, maybe even if you don't like musicals, you will LOVE this show!

“Amazing!Don't wait for discounts, they hardly exist”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

I have no idea where they can find the athletes who can sing, dance and contort their bodies to do amazing performances. The circus theatrics were amazing, the songs and storyline really fun and the actress who was the grandmother was mind-blowing doing tricks on the ring above the stage! She is much older than me, and I could never do what she did.
I would agree the show isn't appropriate for under 8, and some of the "racey scenes" may be offensive to some, although may also go over the children's heads, as it did for my 16 yr old ("oh THAT's what that scene meant!") Nothing too obvious, but just a heads up....
Don't plan on rush tickets, unless you want to stand in line at 6:30am to get one of the 20 (one per person max) they give out each day. We hoped to get one at 4:30 day of show, only to learn the policy I just stated. They are also not at TKTS very often, so if you want to go, trust this thrifty shopper and just buy the tickets. All seats are good, didn't really see any obstructed view seats in the theater.
