I just stayed at this hotel for 1 nights in July 2014 while on business. I was very pleased with this hotel. The location was great, just a few blocks from a subway station and within walking distance of the Empire State Building and Times Square. The rooms were small but we expected that because most rooms of this price range are...The breakfast was good but could be better if they offer cook to order after all its a "Premier" BW.

Very friendly staff and has bar area.

Needed to overnight in NYC for medical appointments. Pleasantly surprised by high quality of this hotel; would not have considered others in NYC in this chain. Rooms small but well appointed and functional; best of all they are very well insulated against city noise. Staff extremely friendly (didn't expect this in NYC)! Be aware that there is currently a construction site next door (east) to the hotel, so select your room carefully. Stayed using points, so not making a judgement on value for cost in this review.

We just stayed at this hotel for 6 nights in July 2014. We were very pleased with this hotel. The location was great, just a few blocks from a subway station and within walking distance of Macy's, the Empire State Building and Times Square. The rooms were small but we expected that because most rooms of this price range are small in New York. The price for this hotel was just a little cheaper than other hotels I had checked on in the same area. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and helpful and the free breakfast was great! Staying here helped make our first trip to New York City a great experience. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We had a fab 10 night break here. Great staff, comfortable rooms and space outside to sit and people watch. A very handy location for getting around the city. We had a problem with ac which was dealt with quickly and efficiently. Good variety of items for breakfast. It changed daily which is a bonus if you stay more than a few nights. Plenty of places to eat in local neighborhood. Would recommend

Good location, close to Subway stops and walking distance to 30 Rock and Times Square. However, rooms were postage stamp size - so small there was no place to put our suitcases when we put our clothes in the only 3 drawers available. Recommend trying another one of the 5 hotels which are within a block of this one. Breakfast was mediocre - breakfast room much too crowded to ever enjoy breakfast. Our room had dust on the ledge of the headboard and some trash in the bathroom when we checked in.

We asked about a cab to the airport, and the front desk called us a Limo - more expensive than a regular cab.

Hotel had no public rooms, and our room was the smallest we have ever had in our 40 plus years of traveling. Could not even sit outside as there were always people smoking and the only view was of the trash piled on the streets.

My son and I recently to went to NYC and stayed at the Best Western Premier at Herald Square. The hotel is right around the corner from the 36th Street Subway--location to the subway is very important!!!
The hotel is lean and tall with a small patio on 36th street though the trash piles up right in front of it so we never sat out there. The lobby is very small and was quite cramped at times but the desk staff always said hello even when surrounded. There is ice water with lemon and coffee service available all day. The ice water was delightful after walking around the city. We checked in late afternoon so all the rooms higher up were taken. We stayed in room 403, right over the street. I was thankful I had a white noise app on my phone to drown out the street noise that starts early in the morning. We slept fine with it on.

The room is very small but had everything we needed. A built in closet w/hangers, a dresser with three doors, a big flat screen TV mounted to the wall and a big comfy bed. The bathroom has a large walk in shower and a small vanity with a shelf underneath of storage.

We only went down for breakfast one time, the room was crowded. Few food choices were available. We skipped eating there and went around the corner to a bakery.
The workout room was small but adequate. The Business center offered one computer. "Reduced" parking down the street for 35.00 a day.

The staff make this hotel something really special--Andre was working the desk when we checked in and most of the days we were there and was friendly. My son left something in the room and I called the hotel a few hours after we had left the city, I spoke to Jay Singh. He went and checked and it was in lost and found and told me the process to have it mailed to us. He was very kind and patient, through several phone calls. The housekeeper turned in our items left in the room to lost and found--awesome. The late night desk staff was awesome.
