We recently (May 23, 2013) ate at the newly opened Buca di Beppo on 45th Street and Broadway in New York City. This was a pre-theater meal before seeing "The Nance" on Broadway. What a great experience! The portions are meant for 2 or more people so be prepared to share items on the menu. The staff is pleasant and helpful, the managers will check and make sure you get the attention you need and that you are satisfied with the experience. If you are looking for a good Italian meal, give them a try and you won't be disappointed.

We have been to Buca multiple times in CA, so we were excited to see it in NYC. We always enjoy our time there. The service is great and the food is good and reasonably priced. It is definitely an experience.

While in NYC, please visit one of the many, high quality, independent Italian restaurants. Don't spend your hard-earned money at this place.

The facility is windowless and decorated like an Italian TGIF.

The food was very "institutional" and quite uninspiring. It could have easily passed for airport or hospital cafeteria grade chow.

I must say our waiter was friendly and helpful. I felt bad that he had to serve this "foodstuff."

Again, try an independent Italian restaurant while in town or even head to Brooklyn, Queens or the Bronx for real New York Italian cooking!

I was taking a trip to NYC with my 2 daughters, to celebrate my youngest daughter's 21st birthday. We ate here the day after her birthday with some family from Philadelphia. She ordered a drink, and he asked to see her ID. (The first person who asked her for her ID). He had to stop and think, but then realized she had just turned 21. He was so nice and helpful, and really made her feel special. We don't have a Buca di Beppos where we live, so anytime we travel, we like to see if there is one in the area. I was pleasantly surprised to find this one in Times Square, and it was fairly new. I'm glad we went there, as we had a great meal and a great time. There is always a big selection to choose from, which can sometimes be difficult since it is family style and people in your party have to kind of agree on which dishes to order. I do feel they are a little bit pricey, but since we don't go that often, it's okay. We always have a good meal, and a good time. The one good thing, is that they take reservations, which I highly recommend, because we have been to some Buca di Beppos where there has been a 3 hour wait.
