Ok, so hokey title for my review. I didn't eat rabbit, I had the Fish N Chips. It was a nice combination of authentic and modern. (Wrap your head around that one.)

The service was very good. There's a bathroom that was clean! This is the kind of bar you want to go with a buddy and shoot the (insert profanity). They won't judge you for ordering a cocktail, but the beer selection is excellent.

If you like bourbon, stick with an old fashion, the Ward 8 is more like a whiskey sour. It’s a cool spot kind of an eclectic interior. I'd give it more stars if it were larger, the bar is just really really small, and gets really loud, and they let in too many people. Get a drink and get out.

Found this gem after visiting the Statue of Liberty. Downstairs in the taproom is a lovely pub with great burgers and fish n chips; upstairs is a cocktail bar to wow the senses. Having lived in Ireland I was mesmerized by the Irish whisky selection. Words cannot do justice to the majesty of this collection, or far that matter, for the excellent service provided by Brooke our bartender, a true jewel! If you like pubs, for God's sake do yourself a favor and come here :)

We went to The Dead Rabbit at around 6pm in the evening , and the bartender was very attentive ,asking us if we had been there before and telling us about the history behind the name of the bar, and the drinks from highballs, punch bowls, ales, and cocktails (served separately upstairs) all drinks are based on very early recipes relating back to the time of the dead rabbits (I don't want to give too much away and spoil it for anyone) - but think gangs of New York and the history stories around that time.

We loved it here and would definately go again.

You MUST go!! A different type of bar, especially the parlor on the second floor. Atmosphere was unique, drinks phenomonal and overall fun. Pam did a great job at the bar.
