Yesterday I was eating with my oldest son enjoying a few days vacation in New York. And after having eaten Korean and so called 'Mediterranean' the days before we decided to look for something more authentic. And then you are at the right place at Cocotte. Great food and service.
What I in general miss in North America are the authentic gravy and sauce. And this place knows it. Whether it was the mussels in a creamy sauce or the fillet mignon in a pure gravy or the traditional hag it was all delicious. And the salmon carpaccio and stuffed mushrooms are also worthwhile to mention. We enjoyed every dish.
Only the bread was a bit to dark. But overall a great dining experience.
