This Greek restaurant is truly a neighborhood gem, at 1st avenue and 51st street.

The decor is impeccable, with all walls and furniture in white and light blue, like in Mykonos. The restaurant is in the corner, with big windows to both street, which make the place bright and much bigger. There is a bar at the entrance, which is usually very happening. The service is superb, with very friendly staff. And the food is simply amazing.

Although the menu is all mouth watering, my dish choices always include grilled octopus, Greek salad, typical dips and Saganaki (cheese) to begin with, and Royal Dorado with lemon potatoes or Lamb Chops as main course. The dessert is always complimentary, including Greeks pastries. Overall, their prices are very reasonable.

If I would have to mention a negative, is the prices of the wine list, which begin at $39. These prices do not really coordinate well with the menu prices.

Please make reservations before going (conveniently via OpenTable), as the restaurant gets packed very easily.

We go there very often, and every time, we leave very satisfied.

This small welcoming Greek fish restaurant in the East side of Manattan, offers simple well prepared sea food and fish dishes that are always very fresh and never disappoint. The only week part of their offerings are the desserts, but the place is well worth a visit, to top it all, it is quite reasonably priced

Gets noisy. Decor attractive. Older couples from sutton place. Swordfish good. Gets pricey. Nice thing they did was bring free desserts for our whole table.

We went there on the Christmas Eve because we are Bulgarians and we hoped to find the traditional orthodox food. I made a reservation with Open Table and have been told we could chose a la carte. The first surprise was a fix menu for 70 $. Everything was so ordinary, without any taste. The spanakopita was withered and fatty. Everything from the starter till the dessert was with feta. I like feta but it's not something to eat in a dinner party. We waited to be served more than one and a half our after the starters (before the entries). We were very tired after 23 hours flights and travel. The lamb was so hard to chew and without taste that we left it untouched. Desserts with feta ......
The wine was the worst wine in my last 20 years. I understand the Greek wines are far away from being the best but why should it cost 70$ a bottle.
At the end they have added by themselves 22% tip. At the end we paid more than 100$ per person for a Greek salad and a glass of disgusting wine.
We not only will never go to Ethos but will never go to any Greek restaurant in the world.
