I stayed here for 4 nights with 2 girlfriends while visiting NYC back in April. The hotel had just opened so we were the first guests in our hotel room. That was definitely a treat, everything brand spanking new.

Everything about our stay was great. Clean, modern and comfortable rooms. We had a great view of NYC and the Freedom Tower. The staff were more than accommodating and friendly. The location is fabulous for walking to various areas and with Penn Station just steps away from the hotel, it was extremely convenient to hop on the subway to get anywhere that was not within walking distance. While it is not the poshest hotel in NYC, it certainly is an affordable, clean and comfortable hotel in a great location which makes it a fabulous option in NYC if you are on a budget.

I highly recommend this hotel.

I happen to book this hotel just a week before my trip and was pleasantly surprised with the location. Ideal location if you want to walk by and explore and don't mind using metros to commute close by. Breakfast was OK and most of the time it was crowded. Nice and clean rooms, and fantastic view from the rooftop if you want to grab couple of skyline pictures of Manhattan. There are only three elevators in the hotel which is little problematic during the morning hours, otherwise it was OK. Front Desk has concierge services for package tours, worth checking out if you are totally unaware what to do.

vmsenthil- thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. We couldn't agree more that that rooftop has excellent photos of the Lower Manhattan skyline. We are working hard at the timeliness of the elevators and are confident to have the wait time to less than a minute for all guest.
We hope to see you soon!

Hotel opened in April. The south facing rooms have an expansive view as the 3 story main post office (now vacant?) is the only building to the south. It is VERY close to Penn Station, literally across the street. The lobby was grand and quite busy when I arrived about 430pm. My room on the 22nd floor was a suite and was very nice. Huge by NYC standards with a large bathroom to match. With only 6-8 rooms on every floor it was very quiet. The rooftop bar offers expansive south facing views and I highly recommend it. The bed was comfortable and the HVAC offered the wonderful "constant ON" setting to provide great white noise.

My only issue with the hotel was cleanliness. While overall it was very clean, some public spaces (the elevators for sure) and my bathroom floor and tub could use a good cleaning. Its a shame that the housekeeping staff can't keep this nearly new property looking just that, new. The elevator floors were quite dirty. My bathroom floor was not dirty, just not as clean as it should be.

I's stay again.

Room Tip: Top floor is 23. Get a south facing room for wonderful views of lower Manhattan.

We stayed here for 2 nights & would definitely recommend this hotel. Modern, clean, pretty quiet (our room was at the back, 12th floor), huge shower & ideal midtown location.
Check in was efficient, staff friendly & helpful.
We didn't take advantage of the free breakfast or use the gym. A run from the hotel to the far end of high line park & back again is about 4 miles.
I would stay here again on a trip to NYC

Had read up on reviews before we booked this hotel and was glad we went ahead and booked it.

We had visited for my 40th birthday, the management upgraded us to a city view which was great. Our check in was a late time but this didn't cause a problem at all. The location is next to penn station and very central , there is a subway on the same street which goes direct to JFK so we got a 7 day underground pass.

The room itself was great, fab size and the king size bed was so comfy, the shower was huge also. We were in the 16th floor and on previous reviews ppl complained about the lifts, we didn't have any issues with the lift wait times though.

The roof top bar is lovely, views amazing.

The breakfast although free could do with a bit of variation as it was the same foods each day but as its in with the price we can't really complain.

Check out we had a late 11pm flights but this wasn't an issue leaving the luggage at the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff , all very polite and professional.
The hotel was very clean and rooms immaculate, there is a safe in each room also which was great.

If I was to return to NY I would
most definitely stay here again.
