We had no reservation on a Friday evening around 6:30 PM. Courteously greeted and welcomed, we were showed to a table near the central passage a little past the kitchen.
We ordered Aloo Gobi, Tandoori Chicken, Dal Makne, Palak Peneer and Naan, both plain and garlic. All of the food was delicious, mildly spiced, save the Dal Makne which had a little greater heat. We had asked for the mild version. White rice accompanied our food.
Everyone was courteous and respectful, our wait staff brought the food for the four of us quickly. Portions were easily sufficient to fill us.
We had three bottles of sparkling water, were billed for two. I mentioned this to our waiter who didn’t correct our bill, confirming his grace.
The price was quite reasonable, given a fine restaurant in Manhattan.
I certainly recommend this place and will definitely return.
They are busy, so our server asked us to leave so others might make use of the table. I told him we’d leave shortly; we finished the topic we were discussing and departed. Perhaps a little more patience on their part might have been preferable. We were planning to leave exactly when we did.
