“Terrible Customer Service”

I travel every week for my job and always stay at a Hilton brand hotel. This is by far one of the worst experiences I have ever had. The frontdesk agents were very rube and the manager on duty had a terrible attitude. Since when is it Hilton's policy to not allow guests to put cash on their room at check-in? I was at another Hampton inn the night before and a Homewood the week before that and I put part cash on both my rooms. When I continued to ask about why I can't pay part cash the agent wouldn't give me a reason. Upon looking at my statement the my card was authorized 3 times for the same amount. The first authorization already had the full amount of the room plus what extra amount in case for incidentals. When I asked the manager she blatantly stated that the extra $500 authorization was in case I caused damage to the room. I might be old fashion but you should not automatically assume that a guest is going to damage the room. I understand that this is a newer property but they need to learn the proper Hilton Policy's and get their acts together.

Room Tip: Room doors are close together so very loud when opening and closing doors.

Went here for a wedding in Queens it was one of the only hotels available so we ended up paying $250 a night for two nights which is a little steep but what do you expect for New York. The hotel is very new so it's nice and clean couldn't find anything dirty. Although the rooms are very very tiny a kind room is about 150 sq. ft. So try to get a double bed one also the bathrooms are very strange they all have a sliding door type thing that doesn't have a lock so roommates be wear haha. They have a free breakfast like any other Hampton inn which is bagels, waffles, fruits, eggs, etc. Also this is about a 15 minute walk from the United Nations and the tour was so good I for sure recommend it. Staff were beyond helpful and had great restaurant recommendations and directions. Overall pretty good stay.

Comfort: 8/10

The location is excellent, however there are two day front desk personnel that are very great listeners and supportive. The gentleman are very courteous and provide great directions and assist when needed. Thank you Enoch and Jonathan for providing EXCELLENT Service. I recommend the Hampton Inn United Nations for personal or business stays 100%. Again thanks for all that you do!

If you are familiar with Hampton Inn hotels you won’t be disappointed. You get what you expect from a Hampton Inn but since it is NYC everything is a bit more compact. This hotel seems to have consistently good rates (we got a AAA discount that they actually lowered to match the current rate when we checked in!). And don't forget, your room rate includes breakfast also...even more value for your money. It’s nice to be in a neighborhood away from the touristy Times Square area and it’s less than a five minute walk to the beautiful Grand Central Station. We enjoyed our visit and this hotel so much we are already trying to plan a return visit.

Bed was cumfortable and room was very clean. Hotel Staff was very personable and helpful. Wish they had early check in but allowed to leave luggage to roam around town while we watied. What a plus to have a nice hot breakfast in the morning.

The hotel has a great location, close to Grand Central Station and wonderful restaurants. I was pleased with the amenities and staff, who answered my questions, no matter how obvious the answer was. All in all, the Hampton Inn/United Nations made it easy for me to accomplish my business goals and to have a wonderful time in New York!

The hotel is very close to Grand Central Station , good location. Almost no traffic noise. The breakfast is satisfactory. The only missing thing is the small refrigerator in the room. The front office is very friendly and helpfull especially Enoch Nimene helps us for arranging The transportation to JFK.
