What a great find. I booked this hotel through a 3rd party and got a really great rate by paying in advance. We’ve stayed at numerous NYC hotels in numerous locations and I was keen to try out Union Sq to explore the area better.
Super great location with a stack of subway lines dotted all around union sq, Duane Reade, Walgreens (24 hours) and Wholefoods all within a 5 min walk.
The majority of hotel staff were friendly and really accommodating - special note Noel & Christian - these guys really made our 4 day stay feel like our home-away-from-home.
All our requests were met with speedily,,,,i.e. when we bought some supplies and wanted to use the bar fridge a staff member came up immediately and removed the contents. Our plumbing issues were dealt with promptly. Our one main wish list was that the bathroom floor tiles were heated….we kind of expected them to be for a brand new hotel.
The location was great for shopping - pop across and start walking up 5th avenue….a shoppers paradise even from 14th street, otherwise jump on the subway and go downtown to Soho - just a couple of stops away.
