“A Break From NYC”
Review of Koreatown

Naming this little area Koreatown is a bit deceiving because it's actually really one block rather than a town. It’s pretty interesting how the businesses are set up here almost like they did take a town and squeezed it all on top of each other. It’s pretty central to Penn Station, Macy's and tons of other shopping areas so if you're looking for a little break in scenery this is a pretty great place to consider. There are a lot of Korean restaurants and cute bakery cafes. Spending one maybe two hours is more than enough to get your sights in and your bellies full.

our hotel was in koreatown, it was a pretty good location however the street itself was not all that great. things were a little dirty (dirtier than usual) and things were a little seedy. there was a really cheap souvenir shop on the corner though, and a pink berry frozen yogurt!

We took the subway to 34th St near 5th Av and walked to 5th Av through Koreatown. We enjoyed looking at the menus from the restaurants and we entered a large supermarket just to have a look. They sold the nicest fresh food and off course lots of things we did not know wich made it very interesting.

One word: ponchon. You don't have to know what it means. I sure don't. Just make sure to go into any restaurant here and ask for it. If you're an adventurous eater, you won't regret it. And if you're not an adventurous eater, why are you in NYC?
