“It was all it was billed to be!”
Reviewed February 3, 2014 via mobile

Figured I would try this out based on other reviews. While in line a guy suggested I get the half and half (half gyro/half chicken). What a suggestion. The taste was great and at $6 it was more than filling. In fact it was so good I went back again for a very late dinner.

Just make sure you go to the real Halal Guy stands not an imitation.

If you are looking for great on the go food, nothing better than these guys. At $6 it is a delightful feast. Their red spicy sauce is just mind blowing!!

“Bring a friend to lunch”
Reviewed January 30, 2014

Following the recommendation of a guide book, we went to one of their two locations for lunch. Spent about 20 bucks for four meals and drinks. Had plenty left over. would only do 2 or three for five people next time.

“7th and 53rd”
Reviewed January 29, 2014

Delicious. $6 each dish, the guy was always there when we went by around dinner time (5pm-10pm) and we got the combo plate, gyro over rice, falafel over rice, and drinks. It was freaking amazing every time. The sauces are good, if you like spicy, I dare you to use the whole hot sauce container they give you. They always had a steady stream of people but never too long of a wait. You can smell the food from blocks away. By far the best food truck in NYC. We went there a couple of times during our stay it was so good. Portions are huge, dont be afraid to share a plate!

“tasty and good portion size”
Reviewed January 27, 2014

The portions are good one rice and meat is good enough for two people. For $6 the price is great especially in NYC. There are queues but depends the time of the day and when i went it was not long to wait. The hot sauce is very very hot in my opinion. Its fast tasty street food from a cart and for the price can't complain
