Rob, our guide, was very informative and really made the tour a great experience. The tour provides an interesting history of the area, ending up at the 9/11 memorial site. Definitely add to your list of things to do and see!

“911 Memorial Worth Visiting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 24, 2013

Going to visit in person the 911 Memorial - Ground Zero is well worth the time and expense for the trip. First the expense is almost nothing to see the site (only $2.00 for the reservation). Reservations are advised but the day we went, walk-ins were accepted. It is just that the reservation allowed us to bypass the lines and speed up the process. Visiting the actual site is heart warming and inspiring. I would recommend taking the train into NYC to Grand Central Station and then it is just a short subway ride to within 2 blocks of Ground Zero. As you approach, be sure to see fire station No. 10 and the nice bronze memorial plaque on the side of the building. Definitely go see Ground Zero and the nice water falls in each buildings footprint. The new Memorial Exhibit will be open next year.

“A 'not to be missed' part of your NYC experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 24, 2013

This walking tour was very firmly at the top of my list when I arrived in Manhattan and I have to say it exceeded all expectations. Our guide, Rob, was very knowledgable and had many first hand stories to share about his own experiences as well as the historical information on the Financial District. Besides the actual visit to the WTC development/Memorial, I was very moved by our visit to St Paul's Church which served as a rest station for rescuers on 9/11. Rob manages a tour group with effortless control, managed to keep us all together without making us feel pressured in any way. As I said, of all the things I did during my action packed week, this was the 'not to be missed' element.

“911 ground zero tour with Rob”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 24, 2013

This was an amazing and emotional tour. So much more than just the tour of the memorial site. We started with a very moving visit to St. Paul's chapel which held so many momento's and wishes of respect from around the world along with many of the stories of heroes and survivors, then on the walk between the chapel and the memorial site we heard further stories about the local fire station and effect on surrounding buildings. One of the benefits was that our tickets into the memorial centre were all organised which meant we were able to avoid the queues. Rob was an excellent guide. So glad we made sure this was part of our experience

“Great overview of the history and surrounding areas of the events of 911.”

Rob, our guide was very knowledgable of history, and was great with sharing his own experiences of the happenings of 911. We saw a lot of interesting landmarks and the memorial in a relatively short period of time. I would highly recommend this walking tour.
