“Sometimes it's the little things...”
Reviewed April 25, 2014 via mobile

Selected this place because of the reviews and the welcome and the food was great. Fantastic value, fresh and really tasty.

However, I mentioned that I have an allergy and they made a (small) mistake. As soon as I pointed it out they were mortified. Immediately replace the meal (no fuss and didn't have to ask) and then, unbidden, took 50% off the food bill

Sometimes it's the little things.....

“Great location - next to Holiday Inn Express”
Reviewed April 3, 2014

My wife and I frequented the Cock & Bull for afternoon drinks, pre-theater dinner, and post-theater desert and cocktails. We spent much more time than planned at this eatery since it was next door to the Holiday Inn Express (where we stayed) and it was raining. The wait staff is fantastic...friendly and attentive. The food is pub type and reasonably priced. Our two choices were very good. Nice selection of import beers. Highly recommended.

I just read some of the other reviews and have to agree with them ... nothing special here.

I had the fish and chips ... eh .... ok, but have had better and certainly more crispy fish at a better price than $18. (chips were good)

She had the bacon wrapped meat loaf ... where's the bacon??? and what is that orange sauce all over everything?

Desserts were ok ... coffee very nice ... but $100 for lunch tip included, was a little pricey for the quality of the food served.

“Authentic, great atmosphere.”
Reviewed February 19, 2014

Bar on first floor, relatively small dining area up flight of stairs. Great view out the front of the restaurant. Ask for a forward facing table. Quick and friendly service; a wonderful Irish lass took great care of me. Food was very nicely presented, fresh and quite tasty. I can recommend the Scotch egg; it was great. Sandwiches are large and difficult to finish, they come with fresh fries.
Didn't try the dessert.

“Nice food”

We found this place by accident. They sell a good selection of British ales and cider, and the food was very nice.
