Every time I come to NYC I have to have cachapas, and a patacon! Price is fair. It's is not a full service restaurant but you can eat there, they have tables where u take your food and eat. Have your quarters ready because Parking is a headache but it's New York!

Each one of these eats like a meal and you would have a hard time beating the meal for the price. My only complaint is that when you say you want 'everything' on it, they will literally put 'everything.' It never occurred to me that anyone would put ketchup on a chicharron yoyo or a Cuban patacon, but sure enough they did. Also, for those of us that are Puerto Rican/Cuban/Dominican - this place is Venezuelan, so if you order a pastelito, you're going to get a stuffed pastry with either potatoes, beef, or chicken (they also have empanadas, which are only slightly different from what they call pastelitos). Overall, I really wish someone would open one of these in the DC area and I will be back (but I'll have them hold the ketchup).

This place is open till about 6 am and it is a main attraction for party-goers. It gets really packed at around 330 am-530 am almost any day of the week. The food is greasy and heavy so it is not recommended to the weight watchers. The palito the queso (cheese sticks) are filled with friable cheese and are really good when dipped into their pink sauce. Which seems to be a combination of mayonnaise with ketchup and some sort of spicy seasoning. Then there is the cachapa with is a sandwich like entree. The bread is replaced with fried sweet corn and filled with lettuce, chicken, beef or pork(or all three) and fried cheese. It is one of my favorites on the menu. The patacon is another sandwhich like choice. The bread is replaced with fried plantains with the same options in fillings as the cachapa. I recommend it to any at least once.

This restaurant with tables to seat serves plates with taste Venezolano. Plates are heavy with a lot of oil. I tasted a Patacones with chicken, but the coke was the right way to allow my digestion.
