Besides having some nice Times Square and Broadway artifacts, this place if FREE and has clean and uncrowded public restrooms.

“Sit down, have a drink and watch it unfold”
Reviewed November 5, 2013

Times Square is a very noisy, dirty place, but somehow it has a wonderful atmosphere. There are thousands of people here all squashed in one place taking pictures. There are a lot of beggers and people husteling to sell you trips which gets a bit annoying but it should not be missed . The best thing to do is get a drink, sit down and watch it all unfold. There is something to see every second

“Must see!!”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

There is only 1 Times Square. If you go to NYC, you MUST go here. The lights, the signs, the people, the ambience - it's all unique. There are tourists taking pictures of everything in every direction at once. There are people dressed as all sorts of characters from children's stories to the Statue of Liberty in green make up and draped clothes. At night, you see more adult characters as well as the kid ones. We always take people there and every time we go, we, too, who have always lived in NY catch some of the magic just by being there with others. If you don't like crowds, weirdly-dressed people, noise, or tourists, you just should not come to NYC at all. But if you want a uniquely NY experience, come to Times Square. Any time of day, any time of year. It's always something to talk about when you get back home.

“A landmark”
Reviewed September 23, 2013 via mobile

You cannot visit New York and miss Times Square. Every second American movie has a scene from there.

Very "bright" during day and night with lots of people.

Keep your wallet very close

“Must be seen at night”
Reviewed September 22, 2013

This is surely one of the world's most famous locations. You simply cannot visit New York and not visit Times Square. And you must go at night, for the incredible display of advertising screens. Huge selection of shops and restaurants in the area, with souvenir shops galore. But if you don't like crowds, find somewhere else to visit.
