We stayed at Sohotel for several days last year for a family vacation. The hotel is clean and cozy. Although the room is a little small and you can hear a little noise sometimes during the night, the location of the hotel is excellent.

I stayed here over Christmas from the 23rd to the 29th of December and had a lovely time. There was four of us in my family sharing two queen sized beds. The rooms were on the small side, but the beds were large and so comfortable. The presence of a celing fan was also great as I often find hotel rooms stifling hot, this was comfortably warm. The Tv was great to watch in the evenings and the bathroom was lovely with gorgeous smelling lavender products provided.

There is complimentary hot chocolate, tea and coffee provided at reception and the decor of the hotel is gorgeous. It is very boutiqe style with lovely chandeliers and zebra print arm chairs.

The staff were always very helpful and our room was cleaned and fresh towels were provided everyday.

We had breakfast in a nearby deli twice and it was delicious and great value, so we didnt mind too much that they do not provide breakfast. We loved Little Italy and ate out in Pesano's on Christmas Day.

This Hotel is in the heart of Little Italy and very close to Lower Manhattan.
The rooms are clean but a little bit small. The room service is very good, and the people are friendly.
The mainly problem was the noise from the road that was too high. Unfortunately, they do not provide breakfast.

Room Tip: I do not recommend to book rooms on the first floor on Broome st.

I went to the SoHotel for my first time in NYC.

In addition to the price, which is super interesting, the location is great: Just one block away from two subway stations. The staff is very friendly and the room was clean.

It would have been great if the SoHotel had a restaurant, but they serve only (For free) coffee and tea during the day.

This is our 4th or 5th stay at Sohotel and it remains one of our favorites. Each time I look for hotels in NYC for us to stay at I search and search and have at times even made reservations at other properties, but in the end we always come back to Sohotel.

The hotel is so comfortable and in such a great location for us. We love the area and the closeness to Little Italy, Chinatown, and the Village. We like to walk and this is a great neighborhood for it. When we arrive and we see those lights on the building its like returning to see an old friend. The hotel was going through a little renovation while we were there, but it did not pose a problem or inconvenience. Check in was quick and without an elevator our bags were taken up to our room on the fourth floor by the staff. One nice thing is to recognize familiar faces of the staff from previous visits.

We have always been placed on the fourth floor and this trip was no different although instead of being at the back of the hotel we were overlooking Broome St. It is a much better view than the back and the street noise did not bother us at all. In fact we opened the windows to let fresh December air in and really enjoyed the street sounds. Hey, this is New York. The rooms are not big but adequate and after the past visits we have it down on maneuvering around the room and bathroom. The bed is comfortable, the bookshelf adequate to put things on as well the small desk. This is not a place to bring a lot of luggage because there will be no room for it all. The T.V. works well and is there if you need that. We didn't and we don't miss that the room has no phone either. The bathroom is small, but adequate and has the necessary shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion in dispensers in the shower. Sorry, no tub. It's a cozy little room and it has been consistently clean and furnished. The maid staff is very friendly and seem to be there all day and night and always ready to help.

We really love the Sohotel and the only things we wish they had, but have no room for would be a coffee maker, refrigerator and maybe a microwave for leftovers from dinner that you do not want to waste. Coffee and tea are available in the lobby. Again, we have learned to work with it and none of these absences have kept us from returning each visit to NYC nor will they.

The hotel is close to subways to go uptown or wherever you might want to go. Taxis are close by and you can hire a car to and from the airport. We have used all and usually take the subway to the Airtrain, a bus to Newark and saved some money and had fun doing it. It just takes a little planning, but hey Its New York!

This is a great waking area both day and night and the Sohotel shouldn't be missed. The rates are more than fair and the hospitality unmatched. Free WiFi too. The hotel has no parking garage and why would you have a car anyway, hey It's New York.

If going to New York make it a point to give the Sohotel a try. You won't be disappointed!

Went with a group of girlfriends in September of 2012 and this hotel had a good vibe and was super convenient. The room itself was tight, but very clean and had a bit of a funky NYC flair. I'd go back for sure. Great value.

I just stayed last night at the Sohotel for a girls night in the city for a friend's birthday. The location was perfect, we were in walking distance from the spa, restaurants, and bar we went to. The staff was extremely friendly. We were always greeted when we walked in, helped with luggage, and given directions. The hotel was very chic, we loved the zebra couch and all the fun chairs in the hallways. The room was tight but perfect for the night. My only suggestion is to have another mirror in the room, three girls getting ready in front of one mirror in the bathroom was hectic! Overall we had a great stay, loved the room and location. We would definitely come back again!
