The hotel is in a great location - lots of restaurants and the high line nearby
Staff very helpful on arrival and moved our room when asked due to small size
We were on the top floors
I’d recommend 12 and below as the music from the upstairs bar is loud and travels down the elevator shafts
Swimming pool is great, bar staff slightly grumpy but a nice spot
Rooms a little on the small side but fine.
There’s no free coffee it’s $2 a go and they only have one cup ( despite knowing multiple occupancy) water bottles $7( ish) a bottle - they even have wet shavers for sale for $12. Surely a free bottle of water and a coffee within your room price might make you feel a little more wanted ..
All in all a good hotel.

They don't seem to have the rooftop bar listed separately, this is a review of the rooftop bar only.

Stopped here after completing the Highline for a well deserved cold one. Nice views from the bar across the west, where we enjoyed sipping our Aperol Spritz. Not cheap but a nice treat on a hot day.

Nice hotel in a very good location , one block from Chelsea Market , nice restaurants and shopping.
Hotel has a nice terrace on the rooftop, there is a bar as well, small and simple but good enough to order drinks.
This hotel could be better though, I recommend it mostly for its location.

This was a true disappointment! I stayed August 2nd to the 3rd. We were there for my husbands Birthday. The room was super hot and the thermostat would not cool below 71 degrees. There was no radio or clock, no USB port anywhere. Which for an updated hip hotel is just basic! The remote for the tv was not working. The bed was horrendous, uncomfortable and all night long the ac made water noises and not the calming ones ! Even after complaining about the thermostat, it still would not go below 71! The pool is gorgeous but there is not enough space for 30 people! How does a hotel with over 10 floors have a pool that 1/4 of the guests cannot enjoy!
It took 30 minutes for one drink to be served at the pool!
Absolutely worst experience, we left at 8 am!
I would not recommend anybody to come here!

Hi delcarb, thanks for your review. We sincerely apologize you had this experience. The hotel is kept cool at around 71 degrees and even reaches 67-68 degrees to keep all guests comfortable - our engineering team serviced your room to make sure it was cool as well. We are making improvements all around and we hope that you'll give us another chance in the future. Regards, Gansevoort Meatpacking NYC

Nice and friendly. Roof terrass nice view.
Room perfect. Good job of Lauren in the reception. Easy to reach Hudson river and the Walk.
Gravt traffic, do not take the car. Easy to find restaurants and a popular bar in the hotell
