“Terrible amateur video quality”

Totally not worth the fee - give this a miss - it was like watching a cheap VHS video tape - a real scandal how the ESB authorities allow this garbage occupy this location - stains the whole ESB EXPERIENCE.

“Way overpriced”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 27, 2013

Be ware of the guys in orange shirts waiting to pounce on tourists on the sidewalks outside the Empire State Building. They offer you tickets to the observation deck that include a fast-track line to the elevators along with a multi-media show beforehand that gives you a virtual flying tour of NYC, for prices ranging from $42-57 per person. They of course don't bother to mention that you can buy a regular ticket to the observation deck from the regular observation deck sales counter for only $25 per person. Granted, you're probably going to spend a lot of extra time waiting in line for that version of the ticket, but you should at least know this before you commit to spending more than double the price. And in my opinion the show is no big deal. If you really want to pay for the fast-track admittance and see the show, at least by your tickets on-line ahead of time where they're a bit cheaper than buying them from the guys on the street.

“not worth the money”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 26, 2013

This attraction is not worth the time and energy .This ride is boring and uneventful and not worth the $ 42.00 for a adult ticket. The holding areas(3) before you get on the ride are extremely long (waiting to get on) and cramped and the slide show of NYC is a joke.My wife and I were fired up after amazing views from the observatory floor in the Empire State Building and ready for more exciting adventures in NYC. Thanks to the New York Pass we able to shake this bad experience off and continue on to more attractions and feel like we were not literally taken for a ride.Note : look into The New York Pass when you visit NYC !

“Avoid at all costs!!!!!!! It's a con!!!!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 24, 2013

On our last day in NYC we decided to go to the ESB we passed lots of guys on the street selling tickets"to the top" we ignored them all until we'd were just about to go in the door. A "friendly big guy called Gabriel talked us in to buying tickets from him to save a 90 minute wait if we bought tickets inside - he told us he worked for the ESB so we had no reason to disbelieve him I paid him $228 for the 4 of us to go up - TWO HOURS later we still had not been on our helicopter simulation - we complained to staff and asked for a refund - we were ubruptly told "refund? But u have seen the film!!" I replied but the film was garbage!! We asked to be taken to the observatory floor as time was running out as we had to get back to our hotel for our taxi to the airport BTW there was NO QUEUE & Gabriel did not work for the ESB total CONMAN!!! I sent an email to NYskyride, the one which was written on the business card Gabriel gave me, to complain when I got home to the UK but surprise surprise it is not a VALID email address!! This spoiled what had been a fabulous holiday with my 3 daughters.

“Terrible - Don't waste your money”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 23, 2013 via mobile

THis is an expensive ride that is poor quality. The film quality is extremely poor with the vision blurry and jumping all over the place. All of our family walked away felling sick from the sudden changes in motion. I would not go on this ride again if it was free.
