“My hotel in NYC”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 9, 2013 via mobile

I stayed here for 4 nights in October and again for 4 nights in November. This hotel is very small and hidden, which I loved. It is a great location, only 5-6 blocks from Chinatown, under the Brooklyn Bridge, and a few avenues from 9/11 Memorial.

We had a large group coming in November, and the assistant GM was able to accommodate all of my requests beautifully.

The kids really loved the complimentary hot chocolate in the lobby, and Mom and Dad really loved sending the kids to breakfast while we slept a little longer.

The staff is attentive and quick to respond. They seem to want to help you with anything you need.

The rooms are small but comfortable with very nice beds and bedding. The TVs have cable and the housekeepers do a great job.

I am a little worried about the prices going up and the hotel being in higher demand once the Seaport gets busy again, but I am hoping to always stay at this hotel when visiting.

I spent there some 5 days. Location is good and easy to get by subway.
I get room (no. 101) for 1st night from the basement. It was very tiny and noisy because of the elevator door and some technical room in next door made noise all the times.
Next morning I went to the front desk and they moved us immediately to better room in 4th floor. It was much better room, but seems that the cleaner have had busy day. I could live with that. Nice view from the room and not specially noisy even it was in in road side of the building.
Breakfast was kind of complimentary style but much much better than typical toast+marmalade+coffee. There were omelets, bacon, juices, yoghurt etc.
Conclusion: it´s pretty OK in all ways but maybe a bit too pricey for what You get.

I stay here fairly frequently on business, for we have an office a short walk away. I have found the rooms clean and comfortable, and the staff always helpful. The fitness center is small, but does the job. Breakfast is identical to every other Hampton Inn, for better or worse. My only complaint about breakfast is that the oatmeal is gluey and not particularly tasty, but that comment applies to every Hampton Inn. The other bits available for breakfast (eggs, sausage, waffles, fruit, cereal, etc.) available are fine, so I generally stick with those.

The location is good for southern Manhattan, and a major subway nexus is not too far away on Fulton Street.

Room Tip: The price on the room swings fairly widely throughout the year, presumably in response to supply and...

We loved this hotel. We stayed in Room 801 which had a balcony with a view of the Seaport and Brooklyn Bridge at night. Great accommodations and staff. We will definitely return. The South Street Seaport area was walking distance from the hotel which made it convenient. Parking was close, although it was an additional $20, without in/out priveleges. All in all, great place, staff, and accommodations!

Our stay at the Hampton-Seaport- Manhattan was wonderful. The hotel was clean, and the staff was very friendly and very informative. They went out of there way to make sure we had everything we needed. They also had information on activities going on in and around New York and gave us print outs of them and locations of places to visit and eat.

We chose this property based on location and price. We are happy with the experience. It is near the Brooklyn bridge, though and the traffic was a distraction in the morning. The front desk staff were all wonderful and the room was fine. Keep in mind this is manhattan and when you factor in the price, you are getting a very fair deal for this city.

We enjoyed our stay. Room was great. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Was walking distance to some of the sights we wanted to see and a close walk to a subway station to get to the other sights we wanted to see. Free breakfast was an added bonus.
