I absolutely love the garden. I had been to Central Park many times before I stumbled on this place, and now it is a must for me. I've been 3 times and it is definitely worth the walk north to visit it. If you are worried about the walk, just use it as your starting (or ending) place so you don't walk up there both directions.

What a great place - a genuinely relaxing and enchanting spot. Worth making the trip across town for and just sit and unwind.

I love the Garden. Most people miss out on the Garden due to its location: 5th Avenue & 103rd - 105th Streets. The tourist tend to stay mostly to the south end of Central Park (Columbus Circle, Bethesda Fountain etc) so it is an extra trip to get to the Garden but it is well worth it.

The flowers are stunning, the fountains, sculptures are beautiful and serene, They do a wonderful job taking care of this area. On any given day, it's not unusual to see a wedding or two. That's how beautiful it is.

Just north of the Garden is the Harlem Meer and the Dana Discovery Center. You can use fishing poles provided by the Center to fish in the Harlem Meer.

This is worth the trip!

A beautiful garden to walk through! It is at the top end of Central Park. A great place to sit and and just enjoy the scenery, read and book, have lunch. It is a quiet zone. No dogs.

The three gardens are beyond lovely. Quiet, beautiful and utterly serene. How they manage to keep them looking so good without 24 hour a day care is astonishing. The arrangement and variety of plants is fantastic. No visit to NYC should miss this spot as its beauty is simply unsurpassed. Be sure to be on the lookout for birds as you go by Harlem Meer on your way into and out of the Garden. We saw a black-crowned night heron at the water's edge Wednesday evening (6-19) - a real treat.
