Fantastic pasta in a low key atmosphere. Relax and enjoy a great meal with a nice wine selection. Although we didn't try it, you can also choose from a nice steak menu

The concierge at HI recommended the Tre Dici across the street. We were 4 and hungry. We left satisfied. 3 had fish and i had the veal chop - a huge dish, but really good.
Service was perfect. And the Dry Martini amongst the biggest i had.

The place is split up in two, and we visited the restaurant on the ground floor. It was a nice looking room, and the service was good.
We ordered the food, but it took a long time, before it arrived. It was also a little windy, like they forgot to close the door.

We got our food, two times chicken and one salmon. The salmon and one of the chickens was fine, but the other chicken was barely cooked - it was defiantly raw inside. Chicken is supposed to be well done, and this was raw. Other people in the restaurant did also get a chicken, that wasn't cooked, so it wasn't a one time fault.

It came out into the kitchen again, and when we got it back, it was fine.
The food was really nice, but the fault is bad, due to the fact that we waited so long. I would have loved to give a higher rating, but this needs to be fixed before.

Nice quiet ambiance, upstairs in "the steakhouse" which had plenty of Italian dishes for all of us, including our vegetarian daughter. We also had an overly loud patron at the table next to us, which can always put a damper. Luckily, once his main course arrived, he talked less! I had the ribbon pasta and short ribs, great. Pear salad was nice. Entree prices, well within range. Salad prices a bit high.
We made reservations for a Sat night that day. I would recommend this restaurant. Staff was very professional.

With our New York trip nearing its end, we decided to call back at Tre Dici which had been unable to offer us a table when we turned up without booking. This is a small restaurant, with tables positioned closely giving it a slightly impersonal atmosphere. The decor is imaginative and the staff accommodating. As vegetarians we eschewed the Steak restaurant under the same management upstairs, next door, and settled for the traditional Italian on the ground floor. When I say traditional it's not to say that the food is in any way run of the mill. There were a couple of veggy options, thankfully, both of us had what is an Italian staple, Macaroni Cheese, It was sublime. The following desserts were beautifully presented. The wine list was a little expensive, but in a small restaurant you have to make profits where you can. There was a table across the room with a group of very loud women, which was quintessentially New York but quite irritating at the same time. All in all we loved the restaurant, it's food and service and were grateful that they fitted us in. I would go there any time again.
