“Great Find”
Reviewed April 28, 2012

Way over on the West side of 42nd Street in a brand new building sits this little unpretentious restaurant. I chose it because of its in the theater district area
So here is my impression. We ordered from the prie fix menu. Salad was crisp and dressed nicely.

Calamari is a favorite, and this was the absolute best I have had. Fresh and lightly fried, tender as could be, the sauce had a modest kick...lemon wedges and served in a fish n' chips style.

Next I ordered "Fried Chicken with Red Velvet Waffles"..Sounds heavy doesn't it? No way...2 slices of breast meat chicken, again lightly fried very moist and tender inside, served with ...yes red velvet waffles comes with maple syrup and an apple spice butter..light as air, and so very flavorful....Yummy!

My friend had the Lamb Meatloaf served with Brussels Sprouts...the plate was all but licked clean. Spiced nicely, juicy and 2 good size slices.

Dessert was a fruit pie served with house made vanilla ice cream. More fruit than dough. Ice cream dense and full of vanilla bean flecks.Lovely way to end a meal.

Already planning a return visit!

Servings are good size with both calamari and dessert shareable.

Small nice wine list, Service friendly and knowledgeable. Concern about how we were fairing was nice and not over the top.

“Great Little Place”
Reviewed April 9, 2012

We had dinner here one night. It has a kid friendly menu but a grown up atmosphere. The food and service were very good. They had a guitar player the night we were there and he was really good as well. I'd go back.
