“Good food but a bit cramped inside...”
Reviewed July 20, 2012

Food was good. Service was good, but like many NY restaraunts they have too many tables which makes it hard to have a private conversation, and not hear your neighbors. Do have a very nice bar setting outside in the Lever House plaza.

“absolutely fabulous -- an oasis”
Reviewed June 6, 2012

Had a fabulous dinner there last weekend with my husband during a visit to NYC -- we go often to NYC and this restaurant was recommended to us in the LV guide (they have never let us down)
Service was superb, the food outstanding and the room super cool!
I had the best bloody cosmo I have ever had and I would return just for that -- the bar has a wonderful "dare I say it Mad Man" vibe.
Five stars all around ....

“Wonderful for an evening with friends”
Reviewed May 24, 2012

We've enjoyed some lovely evenings at Casa Lever. It's a great place to take a few friends, have some drinks at their beautiful bar and then relax over a lovely dinner. Casa Lever's food is excellent--not the best in NYC (where there certainly are some incredible restaurants) but reliably quite good, and their prices are reasonable, as compared to other restaurants at their level.

Starting with the bar, the staff there is professional, as well as being engaging when it's not too busy. When it was crowded, the bartenders were quick, efficient and polite. But when it was a little quieter on other visits, they took the time to be engaging and charming. At one point, we discussed a particular drink we wanted them to try to make--it was something called the Almond Joy that they hadn't heard of. They were quite happy to throw it together and made the whole experience a lot of fun!

At dinner, the food is always quite good. While I wouldn't term the food one of NYC's "wow" food experiences, where you get a virtually incomparable experience (Le Bernardin comes to mind), we've never had a bad--or even mediocre--meal there. The food is always quite good and satisfying. Way above average, to be sure!

For a fun evening out with friends, I highly recommend Casa Lever!

“Upscale trendy Italian”
Reviewed May 20, 2012

Italian restaurant with modern decor featuring Andy Warhol's paintings on the walls. Went there on Friday evening with family and friends in December during the high season in NYC (close to Christmas) and was not disappointed at all. Made a reservation few hours before and we were seated as soon as we got there. Waiter was very attentive too.

Food is exquisite, very tasteful. The desserts were absolutely delicious.

The only thing that was a little over the top for us was the noise level: extremely loud music which caused people to practically yell at each other. And the food took a little too long to arrive too. But none of it surprised me since it is a trendy restaurant and it was a Friday evening.

Overall, I recommend it if you are into splurging on good food at trendy restaurants.

“Cool and delicious”
Reviewed April 24, 2012

Loved Casa Lever. We went for a business dinner. The service was very professional and friendly, from the hostess, to the waiters. Employees that I just walked passed greeted me warmly and with a smile. The food was delicious! Since we were a larger party we couldn't sit in one of the cool "pods", but I enjoyed looking at all the Andy Warhol paintings and figuring out who all the portraits were. Yes, it is expensive, but if you are being treated it's great!!!
