This place is worth every penny. First, the staff is amazing. Super friendly and helpful in a posh setting. Location is great. Comfortable bed. Amazing tub. Fab restaurant. Trendy bar. Fast breakfast room service with house baked pastries. Easy check in and check out. Was upgraded to. Suite which was great but had a chance to see other rooms which were smaller but still wonderful. Plan to stay here again and recommend to friends.

I've wanted to stay here for a while - the Nomad restaurant is stellar - as the hotel looked interesting. So I booked a 2-night stay for a solo visit. Super friendly staff at welcome. Corridors are dark and my room had no view (booked on Hotels.com and that's what happens when you get a deal). The area itself is a little funky - lots of boarded up stores and groups of men hanging around over the road - no hassle from them but it may be a little scary for some). The hotel has a super popular salad place - Sweetgreens - with a line down the block at lunch time. The N and R subway is on the corner and the 1 train a couple of blocks away. The hotel is within walking distance of Herald Square and the Flatiron district. I also walked to and from the theatres on Broadway but not everyone might want to do this.

My room was smallish (but I've stayed in smaller rooms in Manhattan) with a nice bathroom and amenities. A makeup mirror would have been lovely.... The doormen, when they're around, are helpful and friendly. The Nomad Bar is new and VERY hot - staying at the hotel may be your only way to get a reservation there at the moment...

Thoroughly enjoyed our one nite stay. Room was large with a claw foot tub in it. Staff was warm and accomodating. Ate dinner in the restaurant had had a great meal. Ambience is terrific. location was good for us as we were visiting our daughter in Union Square.

Room Tip: boutique hotel worth staying at.

Wonderfully theatrical decor. The interior is painted black with vast drapes and Art Deco lighting and feels as if you have walked onto the set of Phantom of the Opera! The place has a nighttime feel to it even in the morning and the evening is when it really comes into its own, the bar and restaurant filling up with the young, cool and beautiful. The food is sophisticated and delicious and the service impeccable. There is a library were you can sit and have a drink if you don't want to stand in the crowded bar. The bedrooms are large for New York and well designed with the bathtub in the bedroom behind a screen which we preferred to the usual cramped cubicle. It is right on Broadway and luckily we had a back room which was quiet, I suspect the front facing rooms could suffer from noise. One note if you are coming from Europe and want to pay by visa it will pay to tell your bank beforehand as they have suffered from credit card fraud in the past and it is on Visa's black list and they blocked our card and we had to spend time telephoning to authorise payment.

Stayed at the NoMad for a combination work-birthday trip. Hotel room was gorgeous, exactly as pictured in professional pics online. Killer view of Empire State bldg. Service from ALL staff was outstanding (front Desk, doorman, valet, security, maid service, each and everyone attentive and accomodating). Room was very clean, bed and bedding luxurious, clawfoot tub decadent. Management sent bottle of bubbly for bday which was a terrific way to begin our short but fantastic stay.
Hotel guests are given consideration for access to restaurant and bar, both of which are destinations themselves, but as you would expect for a 'hot' NYC spot, prices for food/drink are high end, although locale and people watching is top rate. The neighborhood location is one in transition, but there are many worthwhile restaurants within walking distance, take some time to search. Madison Sq Park is wihtin a block or two, and is lovely and worth a stop (grab something from Shake Shack and sit and enjoy the scene).
Several reviews talked about noise in rooms, but we found it very quiet, and a welcome respite from day out in the city. Would defintiely come back, truly memorable and enjoyable.

Room Tip: Stayed in Atelier toom, was incredible, as lovely and perfect as hotel site pics depict, do yourself...

The NoMad Hotel is a beautiful and comfortable hotel in the Flatiron District in New York City. The decor is elegant, classy and thoughtful. The staff are helpful and friendly. The bar/restaurant has a lively atmosphere and a very stylish crowd - be sure to dress up! Above all, the room is so comfortable. The bed is large and comfortable, hallway was quiet and air temperature was cool even on a summer day. We stayed in the Atelier room, which had a great view of the Empire State Building. The in-room mini bar and sundries are high quality, organic and/or local products - expect standard ($$) charges for these items. Note the rooftop is closed for private events. In the neighborhood - there are great coffee shops within walking distance such as Birch Coffee, Play, and also a salad bar called Sweetgreen - if you want to skip room service to save money. Madison Square Park is also within walking distance. The NoMad is next to the 28th Street N/R subway station. The hotel also offers complimentary use of their bicycles (however the bikes are too big if you're short like me - I'm 5 ft 1 in).

Went for jazz in the venue upstairs and ended up staying dinner and coming back several nights in a row for drinks and dinner. We are fussy about where we are seated and recognize that we aren't the easiest customers. But the hostesses/managers we dealt with did everything right, from accommodating table changes to last minute special requests. They were charming about everything and really eager to make sure we were happy. The atmosphere in the library and parlor is clubby and very comfortable. Makes you want to linger as long as possible. Attention to detail was great. The food was both inventive and perfectly prepared. No problem with special requests even for things not on the menu. It's our new favorite place in NYC.
