great location, usually stay near Time Square, but much preferred this area, walking distance to Battery Park, Wall street, good choice of subway lines, right outside hotel. we stayed in a junior suite, great space, views right over World Trade Centre area, and no noise from construction work. Enjoyed the early morning swims in a very nice pool, with good views towards the Brooklyn Bridge. The staff at reception were at best polite, but certainly did not go out of their way to be friendly or helpful, disappointing, but we would certainly recommend this hotel as a great place to stay in NYC. and would return here

Stayed here for five nights over the Christmas holiday in a junior suite. We were three adults and the separate sleeping area with a king bed for husband and wife and living area with sofa bed for adult son was great. Lots of privacy and LARGE. Very clean, too. Best room and value we have had in NYC in four holiday stays.

Also very convenient location both to the subway stops at Fulton St. with a multitude of lines and the World Trade Center stop on the E subway line and the PATH line to NJ. We had to travel to the suburbs one day on NJ Transit rail and used the PATH to Hoboken, and another day on Metro North and were at Grand Central via subway in less than 10 minutes to get the commuter train. Also got to see lots in lower Manhattan that we might not have seen had we stayed further uptown: St. Paul's Chapel right outside the hotel--the oldest continuously operating church building in NYC and site of an extremely moving exhibit of mementos from 9/11 as St. Paul's provided a place of solace for first responders and those clearing the WTC site in the months afterward; Trinity Church with its beautiful interior and famous graveyard; the Irish Hunger Memorial commemorating those who died in the famine and emigrated from Ireland at that time as well as raising awareness of worldwide hunger today. The hotel is also across the street from the 9/11 memorial and the new WTC currently being built.

Found the service from guest services and housekeeping good as well. Had two special requests for housekeeping and they were filled immediately after calling guest services. Also made two different requests at the front desk and they were promptly filled.

Only complaint: Could not adequately calibrate the temperature in the room the first night when it was unseasonably warm but it was fine when it was extremely cold outside. Wonder if building has an older climate control system which gets turned over at the change of season.

Stayed in a junior suite for 3 nights, and was very happy with it. It was clean and roomy, and the bed was comfy. Large bathroom with an excess of towels and whatnot. Excellent view from the rooms. Excellent house keeping. The staff at the front desk are varying. Some are very friendly, but majority does not have the service attitude I expect at this kind of hotel. Will definitely come back for this room type at this hotel. The location is great.

Room Tip: Go for a junior suite if you can.

The hotel itself is in an excellent location for business - walking distance to the offices and financial district.

The room was large and well appointed. View was over the World Trade Center site. Bed was very comfortable.

The only concerns I had were that there were three lifts servicing the floor and it took sometimes 10 minutes for one to stop, even in the middle of the night. The other being the lack of free WiFi - $13 per day is a bit steep when you can go to Starbucks for free.

We stayed here 4 nights on the 24th floor facing ground zero and we must say the room was clean and spacious with good views. We had no complaints with this Hotel and the room was cleaned very well each day. Drinks in the bar are somewhat expensive and we did not eat here as there are so many cheaper options elsewhere locally. A subway ride or taxi away from the central district and for this reason alone we would stay next time Uptown to avoid the constant travelling to and fro. However, for anyone's first visit to New York this is a reasonably priced and modern clean hotel. Recommended.

Room Tip: Higher rooms have less noice.
