“Ok pizza, service can improve, horrible acoustics”
Reviewed August 26, 2013 via mobile

Pizzas here are ok but nothing special - had much better ones in NYC. For $18-24 we expected more. Service was slow, unattentive and not too welcoming. And acoustics is horrible - none of us at the table could hear each other talking - not the place for an evening with friends and family...

“Gluten Free Pizza”
Reviewed August 22, 2013

The chef, Roberto, is a pizza artist. He is using very high quality ingredients and also serves a varied menu of other dishes. He also has perfected the recipe for Gluten Free pizza - it is almost impossible to tell the difference between his gluten free version and regular. I have tried to duplicate this at home, and it is no easy task.

Also has an innovative bartender. Try the peach bellini cocktail, made with fresh peaches. Amazing.

This is the sister restaurant to Keste, in Greenwich Village.

“Great pizza and awesome service!”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

My husband and I were in NYC on vacation and one of items on our 'to-do' list was to eat at a few different pizza joints. This was a very unique pizza restaurant. We felt daring and ordered the app special for that evening. Some sort of canoli with an avocado mix inside and lightly fried. We then ordered the Montanara Sarita; which is their signature pizza. This was so incredibly delicious. So unique. I've never had pizza like this! The cheese had a smokey flavor and the dough was lightly fried. Ingredients were so fresh! Our service was unique as well. Our server was very friendly and was excited to see us Nebraskians come all this way and eat at their restaurant. Very knowledgeable about wine and their food menu. He surprised us with a complementary dessert of fried canolis draped with hazelnut spread. (at least I believe thats what it was) I wish I could remember his name! He ended up making our last night out such an amazing memory!

“Little Disappointed....But Still OK”
Reviewed July 24, 2013

Maybe I was expecting too much since we went based on the referral of a New York Italian. Their specialty pizza was good but the other pizza's were just avarage. Thought the price was too expensive for what you received. Probably will look elsewhere if we are back in the area.

“Ok but not traditional new york pizza”
Reviewed July 23, 2013 via mobile

We went to Don Antonio while in NYC on vacation because we could walk from our hotel on Times Square and read some decent reviews. The atmosphere was cool...some brick walls and you could watch the pizza being made on TV...but the pizzas were just OK. We had been hoping for something a bit more traditional NY; a big "slice" we could fold up and enjoy, Brooklyn style. This was more of an "artsy" type pizza. And it is definitely not the land of "build your own"...absolutely no substitutions allowed. That usually means the chef thinks he/she has created the perfect recipes and your substitutions would mess it up. Not sure we would completely agree with that. The salads were actually better than the pizza in our opinion and the best part of the meal was a small appetizer called a "fratitine" or something like that. A small fried spaghetti cake...unusual but yummy. We'd go back because overall it was a nice meal but would adjust our expectations on the pizza.
