Walking into this hotel is like walking into grandma's house; everything is old, hasn't been updated in decades, and is very quirky. The room itself was small but made up well. There were a few stains on the carpet of what might have been from cigarettes. I found no iron or ironing board which was disappointing. There was free WiFi which worked fine. The bathroom was tiny. The toilet paper roll was so close to the toilet that my thigh was jammed into the toilet paper while doing my business. The bathroom offered samples of Breath Right strips which was odd. The room did have a flat screen tv which seemed out of place for a room with this classic decor. The hotel is next to a bar so it was loud at times. The room also got very hot and humid and my sleep suffered as a result. The gym offered a treadmill, bike and elliptical. There was one weight machine and a bench. It would have been nice to have a mat to do sit ups and push ups etc. There were also strange boxes being stored in the gym. The hotel offers a continental breakfast. There were bagels, croissants and that's about it. Leo's bagels is a block away. Avoid the free breakfast and get a real NYC bagel. Overall the stay was fine for one night. I would not want to be there any longer than that. However, for money it should have been a lot nicer.

We spend there one night between two flights with our 2 kids.
The staff is really friendly and gave us good advices on where to go and they arranged us a private shuttle to the airport for a better price than yellow cabs

The room was nice with a good air conditioning and recent equipment.

Breakfast is included in the room price. It was a small buffet with croissants, bagels and toast bread with jams, coffee, thea and orange juice. Not a big buffet but enough for a good start.

If you get there with a cab, you should know that it is quite difficult to find and there is barely no GPS reception there.

The Wall St Inn is a great hotel. I stayed 8 nights recently in a good size, clean room on the 2nd floor. Outside of my window, there is a pub with outside seating/tables, a little noisy at times but I could switch of from this. The bathroom was a good size and very clean. Flat screen TV. Fridge. Daily Papers. Complimentary toiletries and chocolates left after room service which is a nice touch.
A complimentary breakfast was available everyday, fresh pastries, begals, cereal and eggs, toast some mornings and in the afternoon, coffee and pastries provided. Reception staff very polite. Good customer service: housekeeping was great and the ladies who organise the breakfast very nice. Subway stations are close by. Short walking distance to Staten Island Ferry, Statue of Liberty, Battery Park, 9/11 memorial and Wall Street close by. I would stay at this hotel again if I return to New York. Thank you The Wall Street Inn

Me and my girlfriend stayed here in late June and loved it, it's a clean & nice place in the more historic part of down town Manhattan, easy walking range to Battery park, South Street Seaport, Wall street and even China town, if you are in shape..
Rooms were fine, I had a corner room on the 4th floor overlooking South William street, rooms were quiet, despite the rowdy activities on the side street between Stone & William Street, as soon as you open the windows the noise levels are pretty high, so the windows are of good quality, keep them closed if you like it quiet.
I do imagine that if you stay on a lower floor on the Stone street side even the noise reducing windows wont help you, so if you value peace & quiet, ask for a room overlooking South William.
Delmonico steak house is across the street, plenty of other good restaurants near by, also, if you like a good bar, skip the Irish bar a few doors down, instead check White Horse tavern on nearby Bridge street, a real Irish bar without frills. I read a lot of complaints regarding the breakfast, for the record this is what you get, croissants plain & chocolate chip (and they were fresh, not days old like was claimed earlier), bagels, plain & poppy seed, cream cheese, Danishes, regular bread, boiled eggs, peanut butter, marmalades, jams, coffee, tea, orange juice, anyway, being from Europe myself the only thing that wasn't available was ham & cheese.
If you expected fried eggs, sausage, beacon & other "English" breakfast items, yeah, stay somewhere else, or go for breakfast on nearby Stone street, for the rest of us, breakfast was just fine.
Also the room where they serve the breakfast, adjoining the lobby is fairly small, but there is a nice breakfast area to the left, and unlike some other reviewers, I did not feel at all exiled there at all
The staff was friendly & helpful, and to the point, what you expect in NYC.
I would recommend this hotel.

Thus is my second stay here and I'll return again. It's my overnight choice if going to federal court in Manhattan, short 15 minute walk. Very quaint, family run, hotel with a European feel. Very comfortable rooms. Great lobby to sit and read. Completely different experience than a Hilton or Sheraton. Close to a bunch of good restaurants, the battery, and Seaport. Downside was no wifi in my room and no one seemed that concerned about it but me.

This hotel is very convenient for Lower Manhattan with good links to other parts, thanks to its proximity to three different subway lines. Our room was very comfortable, clean and in excellent decorative order. The only criticism of our room is that there was not really space to lay out an open suitcase other than on the bed. The public areas are similarly of a very good standard and classically decorated and furnished. The housekeeping staff were friendly and efficient.

Coffee and tea is available all day and whilst complimentary croissants, pastries, toast, bagels and fruit is included for breakfast, these have a tendency to run out. A business centre is available with possibly the slowest Internet connection since dial-up. However, you can print boarding cards, tickets etc. The front-desk staff were generally very helpful and welcoming.
