We were in the city for an event and decided to stay over. We booked the Wall Street inn via Price Line and it was perfect. It is a small boutique type hotel. No long lines for check-in; no long wait for the elevator. The rooms are clean, nicely decorated and well appointed. Each room has a safe, an ironing board and iron, a blow dryer and even an umbrella available to borrow. Toiletries include the standard, plus toothpaste. The beds are full size, so if you are used to a king or queen, it might feel a little small. But the linens are very nice and there is a down style comforter. Continental breakfast in the morning was just enough - pastries, toast, cereal. Nothing hot, but if you want a hot breakfast, there are 20 places within a 5 minute walk. If you like to run or walk, you are minutes from a beautiful run up through Battery Park along the water. Overall, we were very satisfied and would definitely return!

2 night stay at the Wall Street Inn at the end of a 10 day trip to the US. A fantastic little hotel located within the Financial District with comfortable and well-sized rooms. This hotel is tastefully designed and of high quality throughout.

A great location in itself, but also 2 minutes walk to Wall Street Metro which shoots you uptown or in the other direction towards Brooklyn in minutes.

Given all the positives of this hotel, we were surprised that breakfast was a fairly mediocre offering - tea, coffee, but then a very basic offering of bagels and a few cereal options. Definitely an area that could be improved upon.

Also surprising to find that whilst a lovely hotel, the staff were, on the whole, rather unfriendly (apart from the fantastic woman on reception when we checked out in the afternoon). This was a real shame and quite a contrast to our experience during the rest of our time in the US. Cold, unwelcoming and not very approachable, this has also been picked up by a few previous reviewers reading down. Strange for such a well thought out, clean, comfy and tasteful hotel.

Overall - I'd definitely recommend staying at the Wall Street Inn, a sound choice if you're visiting NYC.

This hotel is very different than most in NYC. It's small, quaint, a little bit elegant, and most of all... quiet!

Although the Wall Street Inn is in the Financial District, the area is really a nice place to stay these days.

The Hotel: It's a small, traditional building. It's elegant, private, and comfortable. The rooms are not large, but I had a corner room with several windows, a large bed, desk, and sitting area. The bathroom was small, but modern. The bed wasn't as soft as I like, but it was comfortable enough. A continental breakfast of muffins, coffee, etc was available all morning.

Staff: The staff was unobtrusive, but very responsive, professional, and friendly. Two different front desk associates gave me good recommendations for restaurants in the neighborhood.

Neighborhood: The downtown area has really emerged from ashes, and in my opinion, will be better than it ever was. Stone Street, just behind the hotel, is completely blocked from traffic and several restaurants and bars use the street for outdoor dining. There are many other restaurants and bars within a five-minute walk. Just a few blocks South is also Battery Park, with it's nice outdoor spaces.

Getting Around: The Wall Street subway station is two short blocks away. You can be in midtown in just a few minutes on the red line. Taxis are prevalent in the area. The Staten Island Ferry, and ferries to Ellis Island and the Stature of Liberty are right at Battery Park.

Price: This is the best part... the room rates are comparably much less than many hotels in NYC... especially the ones in Midtown.

We stayed in Wall Street Inn for 3 nights in March. It was our stopover in New York. Hotel is far from Time Square, Central Park, Empire State building... but with easy access by metro to all places you wish to see. It is close to the Battery Park as well as to The Statue of Liberty and downtown of Manhattan. The hotel is 7 storey traditional building and has a friendly family atmosphere. The room and the bathroom are not so small as I expected from NY hotel. Only negative I can say about breakfast and the place where it is served. The selection of breakfast was "more sweet and no meat" - I mean there was no ham, just the danish pastries, bagels, fresh cheese, cereals and jam. The breakfast room is small, I think the maximum of seated people is 12. On the other hand, during whole day you can sit there and serve yourself tea or coffee with cookies.
Overall - The Wall Street is very nice hotel, with location more suitable for those who want to stay more time in downtown of Manhattan, or for those who don´t mind traveling to other parts.

My husband and i stayed at the wall street inn for 4 nights in total. We found it to be a lovely little find in our books. The staff were helpful and able to guide us with suggestions and directions(this hotel is situated very very close to 2 metro stops!) There are some pubs behind the hotel in a cute little cobbled street. We did not hear and noice from them once in our rooms (we had 2 different ones as we were there for 3 days and then back again for 1 more on our return from florida) They very kindly stored our luggage for a week while we were gone. The free wi-fi is also great especially for international travellers! It was also nice to be able to wonder around the neighbourhood. We walked down to Battery Park as well as to the staten island ferry and the the many things to see around the financial district. We felt safe at all times whether it was night or day.
