“Want to grab a bite and an ale before an uptown show? Here's the place!”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

The beer list is above average, and so is the food. Didn't quite know what to expect, but needed a decent place to catch a quick bite before a Gogol Bordello show way uptown. Although it gets very crowded, and the noise level is high (it's a pub after all, and many locals use this as their go-to on a Saturday afternoon) this place is worth a visit.

“Great Beer Selection”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

Great selection of beers and good food. I wouldn't mind sitting outside since it was pretty dark inside when I went for lunch but the tables outside can't accommodate more than two people. Waitstaff is great and they know their beers. It's one of the only places in the city you can find good cask-conditioned ales (UK style) so that helps get my ex-pat fiancees father out of the house (he goes there more than anyone I know)!

A fabulous selection of interesting draft beers to please any ale lover.
The food was fresh and tasty. Not particularly remarkable, just good pub fare.
Nice ambiance and friendly staff.

“Great Beer Selection”
Reviewed August 23, 2012

I love this bar, primarily for their very large and well selected draught menu. Many of the choices are seasonal beers so the menu is always changing. If you are lucky you will get a server who really knows the beer and can offer recommendations or provide you with small samples to help you decide. Of course they have a full bar as well so non-beer drinkers are equally as welcome. The food is also quite tasty, I am a particular fan of the lamb burger and sweet potato fries. Big plus is that the kitchen is open late so no rushing the clock here. The inside can get pretty loud during Happy Hour or on the weekends so if you want to have a conversation you can hear, aim for a table outside.
