Thanks for the warmth, friendliness and help we found there at the beginning of our trip especially Ms Amanda the front desk manager. She was really great . I will never forget those nice days we spent in this hotel

One thing about a chain group, you kind of know what you are going to get. When the hotel has the word "suite' included, one would expect a two-part (living/bedroom) lay-out. But this is New York where every inch comes at a premium. So the "suite" was a regular hotel room with microwave and refrigerator.

We were lucky to be on the 14th floor, but could not escape constant noise from traffic and emegency vehicles. It is New York. The downside was elevators that required Job's patience.

Breakfast is very good and seved in two areas to accommodate heavy traffic in the mornings. We prefered 'downstairs', a basement area with large tables and comforatble chairs. Opt to include breakfast. It is worth it.

Location, location. This hotel is situationed in the 'Hells Kitchen' area near pleany of eateries and next to the main train and bus terminal. It is not glamorous, but a few blocks from Times Square, Radio City and close to Broadway. Anything else related to New York required transportation of some kind.

Service at the front desk and concierge were great. Service at the ground floor bar left much to be desired. At $300 per night, it was not a bargain by any stretch of the imagination. But then, it's New York...

Room tip: Higher floors have better views.

Hi mjcor,

Thank you for choosing us during your visit to New York. I hope you had a great time touring around the area!

I am glad you found our hotel in a great spot. We want our guests to start their day off on the right foot just as they would if they were at home and I glad our delightful breakfast helped you in getting such. Our accommodating staff will also be delighted to hear your kind remarks on how you view their service.

I'm sorry your stay was not 100% satisfactory because of the noise from the surroundings. I understand you had trouble getting comfortable in the room because of the limited space.

Your feedback keeps us growing. Be assured that I have shared your review with the management. I know they appreciate your thoughts and I am confident they will take appropriate steps to address these. I am hopeful for another opportunity to welcome you back for an improved experience.

Always,

Glaiza G.

This place honestly has so many perks. First, the rooms are great - not huge but the full kitchen (full fridge, dishwasher, microwave, stove top burners, coffee pot, kitchen ware) is so awesome! The bathroom was standard. The hotel's location is perfect for anyone seeing Broadway shows. We saw 4 in 4 days and being able to walk to all of them in under 15 minutes was a huge plus! It is one block away from the subway and bus stations so easy to get nearly anywhere. The hotel has free breakfast daily which included eggs, meats (bacon, ham, sausage that rotates daily), breads (french toast, pancakes that rotate), toaster items, whole fruit, cut fruit, cereal station, cottage cheese, coffee, hot chocolate. The items did occasionally run out if you eat in the basement. The main level breakfast seemed to remain full located next to the kitchen. Jesus, the kind man working the breakfast in the basement deserves a raise. He was there with a smile every day working non-stop. The second perk is the manager's reception monday, tuesdays and wednesdays. This includes serve yourself beer and wine as well as salad bar and a rotating hot item (meatballs, fajitas, gyros, chicken etc). You basically can have two of your meals here with no additional cost - a huge savings in new york. We were unable to get an early checkin which was disappointing but the worst was the elevators. There are three elevators to service over 30 (I think) floors. They are tiny. They fill quickly. They stop on every floor. When everyone is trying to go to breakfast or checkout at the same time you may wait over 20 minutes to find an elevator you fit in. People trying to go down started to jump on elevators going up because that was the only way to fit. If you are on floors 10 or below - take the stairs. Or, request to be on a low floor. We were on floor 16 and took the stairs 75% of the time due to irritation with the elevator wait. If you are on a high floor, good luck.

We spent one week in New York with my wife and my daughter (1 yo) in this hotel.
Pros:
- Convenient position (10 minutes walking to Time Square, 3 minutes from metro)
- Clean: the room was decently polite
- Breakfast: only continental but copious, we never go out for breakfast
- Staff: very warm and nice
- Confrontable and quiet
- Big room with great kitchen, we use it to prepare the baby’s food
Cons:
- Elavators, only two. During peak hours (08.30-10:00) we had to wait till 45minutes to catch the elevators from our floor (12th). Very Frustrating since we have to carry 3 big luggage + baby + stroller. I strongly recommend to avoid these hours
