This place honestly has so many perks. First, the rooms are great - not huge but the full kitchen (full fridge, dishwasher, microwave, stove top burners, coffee pot, kitchen ware) is so awesome! The bathroom was standard. The hotel's location is perfect for anyone seeing Broadway shows. We saw 4 in 4 days and being able to walk to all of them in under 15 minutes was a huge plus! It is one block away from the subway and bus stations so easy to get nearly anywhere. The hotel has free breakfast daily which included eggs, meats (bacon, ham, sausage that rotates daily), breads (french toast, pancakes that rotate), toaster items, whole fruit, cut fruit, cereal station, cottage cheese, coffee, hot chocolate. The items did occasionally run out if you eat in the basement. The main level breakfast seemed to remain full located next to the kitchen. Jesus, the kind man working the breakfast in the basement deserves a raise. He was there with a smile every day working non-stop. The second perk is the manager's reception monday, tuesdays and wednesdays. This includes serve yourself beer and wine as well as salad bar and a rotating hot item (meatballs, fajitas, gyros, chicken etc). You basically can have two of your meals here with no additional cost - a huge savings in new york. We were unable to get an early checkin which was disappointing but the worst was the elevators. There are three elevators to service over 30 (I think) floors. They are tiny. They fill quickly. They stop on every floor. When everyone is trying to go to breakfast or checkout at the same time you may wait over 20 minutes to find an elevator you fit in. People trying to go down started to jump on elevators going up because that was the only way to fit. If you are on floors 10 or below - take the stairs. Or, request to be on a low floor. We were on floor 16 and took the stairs 75% of the time due to irritation with the elevator wait. If you are on a high floor, good luck.
