The food was excellent and interesting, but experience was ruined by such poor service. Shame such a nice restaurant with an excellent NY rating could be such a disappointment. Twice dishes for our table were taken to the wrong table. The staff did not seem interested in engaging in conversations about the food. Loved the cauliflower dish, but when asked how it was prepared, the response from our server was, "it's grilled. You know. . .grilled in an oven. G-R-I-L-L-E-D." Thank you, Ms. Sour-puss. Oh, and by the way, don't try to reserve a table online as they haven't got that right yet either. Poorly handled all around.

We arranged to have our wedding rehersal dinner at Tertulia and due to the size of our party we were required to use the chefs' menu. At first I was somewhat concerned about how that would work with our group but it worked perfectly. The selection was great and the food very tasty. Some vavorites were the trout, the croquets, and the paella. The only reason it didn't get higher marks is because after we left the restaurant I received a call to return because we didn't leave a signed copy of the receipt so we had to leave our party and return to the restaurant to sign the receipt. Tip was already built in and they had my credit card on file so there was absolutely no reason they needed us to return to the restaurant. Slightly sour end to an otherwise delightful dinner.

We got the squid ink risotto (delicious) and the lamb meatballs, among other dishes.
The meatballs were loved by everyone, very savoury and well-spiced. I found a small clear plastic sliver in one of the meatballs though, it looks like part of a cooking utensil?
We informed our waiter and the dish got removed from our bill, which was generous of them. Would definitely order this dish again though, it was THAT good.
Service is slow and our waiter wasn't exactly friendly, especially after the lamb dish got dropped from our bill. Took a long time to get service or to get his attention to order something else, or ask for the bill.

We came here with a party of three and it was a terrible experience. First, the second the waiter learned that we would be drinking tap water, the service became non-existent. (Even though we ordered a pitcher of wine) throughout the dinner, staff constantly broke plates and threw metal objects into the sink. All of this ruined the atmosphere. Now the food..it was extremely disappointing that this restaurant had such a high food rating on other review sites. In fact, the food was mediocre at best. Some food was not even hot when served and I was left extremely unimpressed. The portion of ham was overpriced by NY standards and the lamb meatballs were salty and tasteless.

Steer clear of this place and do not be fooled. Turn to alternatives for tapas; almost anything would do...

As a lover of Spanish food, I was extremely disappointed in this restaurant. The space is nice (although always packed), but the food is sub-par. Not only is it not authentic, but it's very expensive for its low quality. For people wanted tapas downtown, Las Ramblas is far superior.
